1. The First
The first gleam of sunshine,
The first laughter in June,
Was the first time you were mine,
That blue sky afternoon.
Children were giggling
As we waltzed around the park,
Skin touching, sparks sparkling,
As we danced until it's dark.
We got home late,
Much to my parents' disapproval ,
But you were my first date,
And I knew you were my jewel.
So we went upstairs to my room,
Where you loved me and held me tight,
And that's when I felt my heart bloom,
When you kissed my head "Good night".
