My day began when he patted my shoulder, saying softly, "It's time!" I was rubbing my eyes with the small fists, hoping it would make me awake. "Shh!" he hushed, putting his forefinger to his lips. I answered, "Shh!" repeating his gesture as a corroboration. Then I was watching him packing things quietly, not to wake my sleeping mom. The only thing I was holding was my treasure – the kite in the color of a rainbow, which we had made together.

By the sunrise, we had reached a wide solitary field. I jumped out of the car and ran up on a hill. My father was walking behind me. I reached the top and turned to wave him with irrepressible anticipation. He smiled back – a kind and warm smile of a loving parent. It was a sweet memory in one early September.

We were spanking along, trying to run the kite. But with no wind we had thrown ourselves on the tender green grass. And there, being out of breath, we were lying on our backs, looking at the sky, laughing at a puffy white person who was walking a giant elephant on a leash.

I was listening to father's stories and the answers to my whys. We fed the birds and imitated heard cow's 'moo'. This is when the wind broke, and we again started to run. Faster, faster. Faster! Making the kite fly.

A little rainbow among the clouds. No rain was needed to make it rise. Two pairs of hands and two pairs of legs – the only things for a marvel to appear. It was a sweet memory in one early September.

Why now was his face white and unrecognizable? His big hand was cold. He was sleeping peacefully, but for some reason irresistible tears filled my eyes. It was a bitter memory in one early September.

Please, wake me up when September ends. This is all just a nightmare. When I wake up, I hope to see his smiling face once more.

My father had come to pass. Since then seven years had gone so fast. I remember the kite high in the sky, and him, carrying me on his shoulders. But just like dark chocolate has sweet and bitter, two Septembers come alongside in my memory.

Please, wake me up when September ends. This is all just a nightmare. When I wake up, I hope to see his smiling face once more.

Again it started raining from above the stars. Since my father had come to pass, twenty years have gone so fast. My memory rests but I would never be able to forget what I lost. I am lying on my back on the field, looking at the sky. A rainbow has stretched across the hill.
