8. Tracie- Ohana Means Potato
It was my turn for the paired photo shoot, and Ashton had wrapped his arm around my shoulder like we were buddies.
"Hey partner!" he said, smiling. I blinked once. Twice. Maybe even a third before I pinched myself. Again. For the fourth time today. I winced. I realized that I wasn't dreaming, yet again.
"Hey!" I replied after a long moment of seemingly awkward silence.
"So, what do you do?" he asked, just as Nell- probably one of my favorite people ever (at least for now)- called our names and started to pose us, practically like we were statues. as we talked.
I told him about Nobel's Barnes, my favorite bookstore. Then we talked about modeling- which I found weird, almost like he was planning on joining me as a partner anyway.
Time passed too fast. "Okay you too, that's it!" Nell said, smiling.
"You wanna know a secret?" I asked Ashton.
"Sure." He leaned forward as I stood on my tip toes. Another camera flash, just for the sake of it.
"Ohana means.... potato." I said the words in my Stitch voice, and then walked away, smiling.
