"What the hey?" I said, poking my head out of my door. The noise was coming from the room two doors down from me.
I walked down there. What was going on?
I rapped on the door. "What is going on? Are you okay?"
I suddenly heard a grossed-out scream, and I heard squishy footsteps coming towards me.
Someone opened the door. It was Ashton in just boxers and a shirt that had something brown running out of it.
"Urm, hey Ash. What's going on?" I asked him.
"Freaking Luke and his girlfriend pranked us. And he isn't here this morning, either," he growled.
"So...what did they do?" I said.
"Put pudding in the shirts, put this weird cement-like thing on the floor, put mannequins in the beds with us, rigged the toilet to spray us," he said. "And more," he added.
I heard laughing coming from Ginnifer's room.
I stomped to the door, but they walked out.
"Ah, that was great!" laughed Ginn.
"Did you hear them screaming?" said Luke.
"Real mature, guys. Real mature," I said.
Ginnifer punched me on the shoulder. "Oh, come on, Aber! Admit it, it was hilarious!"
"No, it wasn't. But we don't have time for that. The BeYouTiful shoot is at eight. It's six now. And we have to take a special guest with us, and I-" I stopped. I was about to say that I didn't have one yet, but I did. I'd take Calum. I changed my sentence. "I don't think you have one."
Ginnifer flipped her hair and gave a fake giggle. She put her arms gracefully around his shoulders. "I think that I might have one," she said. She leaned her head forwards so that he could see her and winked.
Luke grinned. "I think you might."
"That's all great, but I think I need to go pick up the outfits," I said. I walked away from them, got in my car, and drove to the Live modeling agency's building.
Julia, my stylist, began to put on my blue eyeliner.
"Hey, Tracie, who's going to be your special guest?" I asked.
Tracie blushed. "I think that it's going to be Ashton. What about you, Inder?"
"Michael. I hope. I haven't asked him yet," Inder said. "And Ginnifer?"
"Luke," said Ginnifer. "And Aber's is Calum."
Tracie looked at Aberly. "Ooh, Abs! What ever happened to 'No boys for me'?"
I rolled my eyes. "Oh, come on. We're just-"
"-a couple...," said Ginnifer.
"Miss I-won't-settle-for-just-one," I retorted.
Inder sighed. "Girls, today is a day to respect ourselves and love ourselves. Do you think that this is a good role model for other girls?"
"No," everyone said.
"Do you know what the shoot's going to involve us doing?" I asked.
"Well, I know we have to do an interview and take pictures with our special guests, and we talk about what the guest has done for us," said Inder.
"Wait, I thought that this was about teaching girls to love themselves," said Tracie.
"It is, and also loving others and being good to others," I said. "But not in a cheesy or fake way." I looked over to Ginnifer. Everyone was staring at her.
"What?" she said. "Why are you looking at me?"
I sighed and looked back at Inder. "I am so excited to be doing this! I've been waiting for six months!"
"I know!" said Tracie. "I always look forward to sponsoring this!"
As soon as they finished my makeup, we put our clothes on (I got a white tank top and an interestingly patterned shorts) and walked back to the apartments to ask the guys to go with us.
Inder knocked on their door and Luke answered. "What's up?" he asked.
"We need to ask you all a question," she said.
Luke pulled the door open further. "Come on in, girls. We were just finishing cleaning up."
We walked in and sat on the nearest bed. Suddenly, Tracie screamed.
"There's someone in the bed!" she said.
Ginnifer burst out laughing. "It's a mannequin!" she said.
Inder looked back at Luke. "Where are the other guys?"
Luke pointed to the side of his room. "Inside the bathroom getting washed up." He stepped back. "Calum! Ashton! Michael! We've got some visitors!"
The boys walked out, hair wet.
Ashton sat on the bed next to us. and the boys followed. "What's up, girls?" said Calum.
I blushed. "I need to ask you a question," I said.
"And I need to ask Ashton a question. And she needs to ask Michael a question, and Ginnifer needs to ask Luke a question," said Tracie. She raised one of her eyebrows and looked around, her look saying "Who wants to explain this?".
Inder sighed. "So, guys. We've got a photoshoot today. We've got to take a special guest with us. And we were wondering- well, I was wondering if you, Michael, would go with me? You know, this thing is about friendship and loving yourself and others, so..."
Michael nodded and grinned. "We've got nothing else today. I say yes."
Ginnifer smiled and looked at Luke and raised an eyebrow. He smiled and nodded.
Tracie asked Ashton, and he accepted.
I looked over at Calum. "I guess you know what I am going to ask, but I don't know the answer."
Calum smiled. "I think you do." He winked.
