My eyes slowly fluttered open when I heard Luke's door creak. I realized the door was opening and I shot up, scrambling to cover my half naked body. His mom walked into his room, smiling when she saw I was awake.
"I'm sorry if I woke you up, Lacy. Your brother stopped by earlier and said to tell you he's sorry," she paused, shrugging. "Don't know what he's sorry about, but he seemed very upset. Your brother has such a kind heart." After completing her explanation, she smiled at me and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.
I slowly crawled back over to Luke, laying my head on his bare chest. I sighed heavily, staring blankly at the wall opposite from me, lost in thought. I didn't even notice when Luke started to stir, only realizing he was awake when I felt his fingers playing with my hair. The simple movements made me smile, and I turned my head to look at him.
"So, what's Ashton sorry about?" He looked at me, raising one eyebrow.
"It's nothing, Luke. It doesn't matter." I sighed, sitting up and looking around the room for my clothes. As I bent down to grab my bra and underwear, I felt a sharp stinging feeling on my butt. I gasped, quickly standing and holding my undergarments against my chest.
Luke smirked at me, laughing.
"Might want to cover up all those hickeys on your neck if you're planning on going anywhere today, love" he chuckled, smirking and looking at all the marks he left on my skin.
I rolled my eyes, pulling my clothes on and sitting next to Luke.
"Want to go to the mall today? I need some new makeup and stuff for my moms dinner party tomorrow" he nodded in response and I kissed his cheek lightly, walking over and grabbing my shoes.
~Skip the ride to the mall~
We walked up to the entrance of the Chadstone mall, our fingers intertwined. We wandered in and out of several stores, grabbing a few miscellaneous items, as well as a a few items that I needed for the dinner party.
After about an hour of shopping, Luke and I sat down in the food court to eat. As he was ordering our food, I stayed at our table scrolling through Instagram and liking several posts. Suddenly, I felt hands rest on my shoulders. I spun around, ready to hit and/or scream at whoever it was.
"Oh my god, MIKEY!" I screamed, jumping up into his arms and hugging him tightly. Michael and I had been best friends since we were around 9 years old, but he moved away two years ago. "I can't believe you're back. Didn't you move to Wales?" I looked at him, grinning from ear to ear.
"I came back to visit for a while. I graduated a month ago so I wanted to come see my best friend." He chuckled, adjusting his grip so I wouldn't fall.
"Yay. I missed you so much Mikey."
"I missed you to, Lala" he laughed, teasing me with my old nickname and making me cringe.
"Oh god, I forgot about that nickname." I jump slightly when I hear someone clear their throat, turning my head toward the sound.
"So, who's this babe?" Luke asks through gritted teeth, his eyes dark with anger.
"Luke, this is my best friend Michael. I call him Mikey though. We've been friends since we were like 9, but he moved away two years ago," I explained calmly, too happy to pay attention to Luke's anger. Michael slowly set me down, reaching his hand out for Luke to shake, positioning himself between the two of us.
"You must be Lacy's boyfriend. It's nice to meet you." Luke gripped his hand and shook it stiffly, still looking at me.
"Nice to meet you two. I need to talk to Lacy alone for a minute, if you don't mind." He spoke coldly, making me gulp.
He swiftly walked over to me, grabbing me by the arm and dragging me to a small empty hallway before roughly shoving me against the wall.
"What the hell was that?" He growled, his hands pushing my shoulders firmly against the concrete walls.
"What do you mean..? Mikey saw me and came to say hello. I haven't seen him in two years, Luke. Calm down." I explained, not looking him in the eye.
I felt his fingers wrap around my neck and he applied light pressure, making me gasp.
"Calm down? No. I'm not going to calm down. Not when I fucking walked over to see some other guy holding you. He has his hands all over you, and he was basically grabbing onto your ass." He hissed, tightening his grip around my neck. I struggled to breathe, trying to get him off of me. "I'm the only one who can put their hands on you like that. I'm the only one who can touch you. Do you understand?" He spat harshly, his eyes dark.
His grip tightened more, almost completely cutting off my air supply. I pulled against his arms, failing at moving them off of me. My eyes were blurry with tears, but I could still see his dark, angry expression. His grip tightened more when I didn't respond.
"I said, do you understand?" He repeated, putting emphasis on each word separately. I nodded, unable to speak or breathe.
Satisfied with my answer, he let go of my neck and let me fall the the floor, gasping for air.
"Good. Now let's go back out there and spend some time with your friend. And don't even think about mentioning this to anyone." He turned on his heel, walking back toward the food court.
I quickly took my scarf out of my purse, loosely wrapping it around my neck before following him, trying to look calm.
We spent about an hour with Mikey before he had to leave, and I wished I could go with him to talk to him more but Luke wouldn't let me. He was getting more controlling and much more dangerous, but I still didn't hate him.
I don't think I could ever stop loving him.
Hey Loves! Hope you enjoyed the unusually long chapter. There was a lot to fit into the storyline here, and I really wanted to reach all of the points before next chapter. Hope you liked me introducing Michael as well.
I'll update again soon.
Bye Loves! <3
