"Ella wait up!" Carrie called chasing after me as I ran away from Connor as fast as I could.
I'd managed to get the key off him without making eye contact so now I was running to pack up my stuff.
I unlocked the door and burst in grabbing my suitcase and lazily throwing my clothes in it.
"Woah woah woah woah woah you can't leave!" She yelled grabbing my arms.
I burst out of her grip and started to pack up my laptop and books.
"I have too."
"Listen whatever it is we can figure it out."
"Carrie I don't have a choice, he knows everything."
I finished packing everything and turned to face her.
"Do you really need to leave?" She asked softly, fighting back her own tears.
I nodded sadly; "Is he in his cabin?"
"What about us?"
I held her hands tightly and looked her in the eyes; "Listen to me I'll call you when I make it to a hotel okay? We'll still be friends I promise, we survived the distance once, we can survive it again."
She went over to the cabinet by her bed and picked up an envelope, shoving it in my pocket.
"Open that when you get there okay?"
She pulled me into a hug as we cried on each others shoulders, I really don't want to leave her. But it's my only option.
"I'll see you again I promise." I whispered.
"You'd better otherwise I'll hunt you down." She laughed sadly giving me one last hug.
I walked out of the cabin and back towards the front entrance.
A few girls just stood dumbfounded, wondering why the rebellious 'foreign' camper is walking out.
I'm not foreign... I'm just not American.
I walked out of the front gates and turned back to have one last look, sobs escaping my mouth.
This is what I'm leaving behind... the only sense of life I ever had...
