1. The Future
They say we live in the Golden Age of History. They say we should be honored to live in such a good time. I tell them that we don't know if there will be more Golden Ages, Better than this one, but in the future. They scoff and ask who put such ideas into a child's head. I tell them that I did, And that children have rights, too. Well, I say it in my head, anyway. It's just as satisfying.
My daddy lets me ask questions like that, Questions that he doesn’t know how to answer. At least he tries to answer them Instead of laughing at my ridiculous thoughts like everyone else.
