I groaned in frustration as I ran my fingers through my hair trying to smooth and flatten it down after the wind blowing it everywhere. “Hadley will you stop your hair is fine.” Isla was walking beside me with her hair high in a braid.
“No Isla its not, it’s all over, and you took my last hair tie for your braid so I can’t put it in a pony, you know I like my hair pulled back.” I snapped then went back to my hair. I swear she really irritates me sometimes and even though if you ask me I may say I hate her I actually love her. I mean she is my sister. We came out of mom together, we went to school together, we came on this boat together, everything we do we do together. After her constant nagging she did get me to stop playing with my hair and let the wind blow it every witch way.
After about 20 minutes of telling her to stop Hadley finally listened and let the wind blow her hair around as we walked down the deck of the ship. I kept pulling Hadley to a stop so I could talk to a cute boy and every time I did I see Hadley roll her eyes and cross her arms over her chest, but thankfully didn’t walk away. She knows she needs to stick by side because we are sisters. She should try to talk to more boys though, maybe even get a boyfriend that wont go got stolen by the slut queen for once. “Isla stop flirting so much. I swear if you don’t stop soon I’m going to throw up.” She looked at me with a little disgust on her face.
“Oh come on Hadley, have some fun. Why don’t you go talk to a boy too? There’s a ton of cute ones all over.” I put my hands together and almost pleaded. Hadley just looked at me with a confused expression, then let out that evil chuckle of hers and shook her head.
“Isla, I may have the same face and DNA as you, but I’m not you. I’m not the cheerleader that sleeps with the captain of the football team almost every other day, and is afraid of getting sweaty. I’m the girl who plays field hockey, soccer, lacrosse, and rides a long board. You can’t even stand on one for more than 10 seconds before falling on you face. You may care about boys, but I don’t.” She snaps at me then walks over to the railing looking out at the water that was the finest crystal blue color. I sigh then see something that catches my eye. Only about 8 feet away 2 incredibly good-looking boys are standing looking in our direction. It’s clear that they’re staring at Hadley, not me and I smile but am a bit jealous that they seem intoxicated by Hadley.
“Uh Hadley.” I tap her shoulder and she shots me a mad glare, but softens a bit when she sees what I’m guessing looks like a nervous expression cross my face. I glance at the boys and they’re still looking at her. “You may want to look over there. Two really hot boys are looking at you.” She arches a perfect eyebrow at me then turns her head in the direction of my finger at the two boys with no emotion and gives them a small smile. I couldn’t tell if it was fake or real, but it was a smile. Then she turns back to me, shrugs her shoulders slightly and looks back out to the ocean. I look at the boys again. They are both almost six feet tall and seem pretty toned. One has curly blond hair that falls over his forehead and blue eyes. His is wearing black skinny jeans with rips at the knees, black vans and a Blink-182 t-shirt, I don’t know what or who that is but I’ve heard Hadley mention them as a band before. The other boy is a good 4 inches taller with short chocolate brown hair and green eyes that were brighter than Blondie’s. He has a Nirvana shirt just like Hadley’s tank top and jeans, with black and red Air Jordan’s, and has a black and white snapback turns backwards on his head. They seem like the male version of Hadley. Here I am dressed in pink skirt and white tank top with white sandals and feel out of place. Hadley on the other had is wearing a Nirvana tank top, black skinny jeans and her navy converse, so it like an almost exact match to what the two boys are wearing. I’m about to walk towards the boys when a voice stops me.
“Isla got flirt with someone else. Judging by how they’re dressed they won’t go for you, you don’t even know who ‘Blink 182’ is and think Nirvana is a ticket to some afterlife.” I frown at Hadley then look back to the boys to see that they are now gone. “I’m going to go find our room, I see you later sis. Here take this” She hands me a piece of paper with our room number so I can find it later. “I have the number saved in my phone so I don’t need that. I guess I’ll see you when you’re done out here.” Hadley says with no emotion and walks away. I just sigh and walk in the opposite direction. Why does my sister have such a dark personality?
