I was walking down the hall somewhere on the ship. I said I was going to find our room but I ended up wondering the halls. I was looking at my phone and not paying attention when I bumping into someone causing us both to drop our phones. “Oh my god I’m really sorry.” I bent down and after I grabbed my phone I reached for the other persons and our hands brushed. I looked up and saw green eyes staring right back into my brown ones. He was wearing jeans, a Nirvana t-shirt and a black and white snapback. I then realized he was one of the boys looking at me on deck earlier.
“No problem, I wasn’t paying attention either.” He took his phone in one hand then stood up and offered me the other. I took it and he pulled me up. His touch sent shivers up my spine “Hey I saw you on deck earlier with a girl who looked like a cheerleader begging to get laid. I mean she was flirting with almost every guy. I even thought she was coming towards me and my friend so we bolted.” He laughed and it was pretty cute.
“That was my twin sister Isla. She flirts with every guy she sees. I did stop her from trying to prey on you though. You don’t seem like her type.”
“Oh yeah, what makes you say that?” The boy lifts an eyebrow in amusement at me.
“Well, do you like pink?” I cocked my head at him
“No, I can’t stand pink.” He replied twisting his face in disgust and I laughed at his facial expression
“Then you are not her type at all. Pink is her life. You saw her outfit and hair right?”
“Yeah, but I like your outfit a lot better. I also like the blue in your hair. Oh and I’m Austin by the way, Austin Mahone.” He sticks out his hand.
“Hadley Mendes” I reply and shake his hand. We stand for a while before I snap back to reality. “I better find my room.”
“You are standing in front of it.” He laughs and points at the door to my left. I look at my phone screen and sees he’s right. “Well what do you know you’re right next to me and my friend Cody aren’t you?” I smiled at him, unlocked the door and found my bag on the bed farthest from the door and Isla’s on the one closest, Perfect. I didn’t want to be right next to the door. I put my phone down on the desk opposite of my bed and turned around to see Austin followed me in. He looked nervous all of the sudden looking down at his Air Jordan Sneakers.
“Hey Austin are you okay?” I asked concerned, even though I didn’t know him and his head quickly shot up.
“Uh yeah. Hey do you and your sister have plans for tonight?”
“Not really why?”
“Well Cody thinks Isla is kind of pretty, but thinks that she needs to change her look to be more like you.” Austin replies and starches the back of his neck. “Anyway he wants me to get him a date with her, I don’t want to be a third wheel and you seem cool.”
“So you and Cody want to take me and my sister to dinner?” A smile begins to break on my face and he nods. “Well I’m in as long as I get to sit with you. As for Isla I will drag her if I have to, but I have a feeling she will gladly accept.” I answer and his face lights up.
“Good, how does 7 sound to you?” He smiles at me.
“7 is perfect, we’ll be ready, let my text my sister now” I say and grab my phone from my desk.
“Great, I’ll guess we will see you two then.” Austin smiles and leaves the room. I smile to myself and shut the door.
Hadley is really pretty. I mean Isla isn’t bad either seeing the fact that they are twins. Hadley’s better though, she has the same taste in clothes as me and I like her blue hair better than Isla’s pink hair. I hope she didn’t notice that me saying that Cody likes Isla was just a lie to ask her out. “Man where have you been?” Cody looks at me as I enter the room
“I need a favor. You remember the twins with the colored hair. I got them to go to dinner with us and I need you to act like you’re into the cheerleader one dressed in pink.” Cody widens his eyes at me. He blinks and his jaw drops to the floor.
“No way dude! I want the one with blue hair. She’s ridiculously hot, plus she isn’t a cheerleader like the one dressed in pink with pink hair. I mean all that pink makes me want to barf.”
“Come on man, you want her to think we are liars? I already told her that you like her sister and she agreed to go with us to dinner. If you don’t she will see us as jerks and never talk to us again. I don’t want that and neither do you. Every guy on this ship seems to have their eyes on them, if we want either of those two we have to move fast.” Cody glared at me, but then sighed.
“Only for tonight, after that I’ll take the blue haired chick-“
“Her name is Hadley and pink hair is Isla.” I cut Cody off and he gives me a look
“I will be nice to Isla tonight but after that I’ll get Hadley to fall for me, instead of you.”
I chuckle “May the best man win.”
“Oh I will” Cody grins
“Good luck dude, she’s already mine”
“Come on Hadley, why not?”
“Isla you are not wearing a pink dress!” I hissed at my sister “You want Cody to like you, then wear the royal blue one.”
“Ugh fine.” I gave in and put on a short royal blue dress with short lace sleeves and black stilettoes. Shortly after I was dressed Hadley came out of the bathroom in a little black dress and the same black stilettoes. Her hair was straight and curled up at her blue tips. I started at her with my mouth gaped open.
“What?” she asked looking at my face
“You as so crushing on this boy…hard. There is no other reason that you would get dressed up. You might finally get a decent boyfriend.” Hadley rolled her eyes at me and before I could respond there was a knock on the door. Hadley just turned away and went to open up the door and that is when my jaw dropped ten stories.
I rolled my eyes at Isla as I heard a knock on the door. I opened it the revel Austin and Blondie whom I guess is Cody. “You both look great.” Cody’s eyes shifted from me to Isla a couple times before they settled on Isla.
“Thanks Cody.” I replied at blond boy. He was wearing dark blue jeans and white collared shirt and black vans. I looked over to Isla who was gaping at Cody, and was probably close to drooling. She definitely liked him. My gaze went to Austin who had on black skinny jeans, a white button down shirt, black supras, and the same snapback from before. We were more dressed up than they were but I liked that he didn’t try too hard and kept it classy and casual, to me that meant they didn’t try to hard and did try enough.
“We should go, you girls ready?” Austin asked and offered me his hand and Cody offered Isla his. She blushed and accepted Cody’s as I hesitated for a second and took Austin’s.
