I stare at him and feel a smile, bigger than the previous time, appear on my face. I stoke his hand and lock my fingers in his. The touch of my skin on his wakes him up and big blue eyes are looking at me. The silence that rules the room disappears when he starts to mumble. I still can't hear that well but I try to get what he says. Then I understand the movement of his lips when he lets go of our grip and walks toward the door. 'Rosie, I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry.' I want to yell, shout or even bring out a few words but the only thing that comes back is silence. Silence of an empty room.
Why did he say that? Why did he left? What did he do wrong? It wasn't his fault that the accident happened.
Tears start rolling down my cheeks and with my eyes red as roses I fall asleep.
Luke smiles at me and takes my hand. We're back in the car but now the sun shines. I look outside and see all the flowers and little animals jumping around. I look back at Luke and I see that his mouth is moving but I can't hear anything. When I try to speak the sound stays the same. Volume on zero. I wish I could turn the volume, I want to know what he says, what story he is telling, what experience he has had. But the silence stays. Behind him I see the wether changing and see that the little white clouds are big black places in the light blue sky that disappears more and more. His grip gets tightner and it starts to hurt. I start yelling but still can't hear anything. I get no reaction from Luke and start punching him but all he does is staring in the deep, like I don't even exist. The water-drops start to fall down and soon we're in a storm. Everything is black and the car starts to slip. I get into a panic and again try to get any response from Luke. I shout, punch, pull, yell again and louder. But there's no movement. Then his grip get even tightner and pulls my hand toward him for me to come closer to him. His lips aren't moving anymore and the noice the water-drops make, stops. I feel two soft lips touching mine and it feels like the kiss from that night. I hear the birds singing again and then with a huge shock the car hit the bridge.
My eyes jump open and my fingers touch my lips. That kiss. His lips on mine. It felt so real.
