I walk into the classroom and look around. I go sit on the same seat where I always sit and look at the empty seat beside me. Luke's seat. As the teacher starts to speak the lesson begins. Even thought she speaks all the time I can't get my eyes off the door or my mind off Luke. I watch it every second hoping it would swing open and he would stand there in the opening. But how hard I was hoping, nothing happened. The door stayed closed, the teacher kept talking and the seat next to me stayed empty.
The day ends and Luke didn't show up in one of his lessons Matt said. I am worried. What if he thinks it is his fault? I need to find him.
"Hellooow?? Is there someone home?" Charls says while waving in front of my eyes for me to snap back to reality.
"Ow, uhm sorry but I need to go. I will walk myself home, so Charls see ya tomorrow." I say while walking away on my way to Lukes. When I'm standing in front of the door I rang the bell hoping he would open but instead Ethan opens the door.
"Ow Rosie, you are coming for my brother aren't you?" I nod.
"Well I wil need to disapoint you because he's still with his friend."
"Ow okay. That's fine. I will see him tomorrow then." I smile as he closes the door and I walk away. With his friend? His friend is definatly not not Matt because would have told me. The day ends with all those worries on my mind and soon a new day starts. I grab my stuff, eat something and go to school. When we arrive I see Matt standing there talking to someone. He's upset. Then the person turns around and walks away.
"So what was that all about?" I ask him.
"Nothing." he says harshly.
"Matt that wasn't nothing." I push a little.
"Just leave it." He snaps. I take a few steps back and when he notices my reaction he apologizes.
"It's nothing. It's just, I'm worried, ya know."
"Yeah Matt we are woried. It didn't seem like you had a great talk with that guy." Charls says trying to convince him to tell us about it. But all he does is denying it.
"I said leave it." there's a silence and I try to make eyecontact but all he does is looking around searching for every other point then my eyes.
"O-okay I will, we will. But you need to know I don't trust it. You didn't seem very happy to see the guy."
"So that's a 'I will forget about it."
"Not forget but I will leave it till you tell me about it."
"Not going to happen."
"Okay you're choice." I say turning around, walking toward the schooldoors. I'm not sure what it is but I know he is hiding something. Something nobody can know. Not Charls. Not me. Nobody.
