12. Epilogue

Andy ghed. The warm heat and sunshine made him feel like he could finally relax after all the success he had. Finally gaining a well-paid job at the San Francisco World Vision orphanage and moving into a better apartment with his new girlfriend. It had more room in the apartment as it had another second bedroom. But it was never used. And another thing he never thought he achieved was go on vacation in the Caribbean, which was where he always wanted to go in his life.

Riley seemed happy as well. Sitting on smooth comfortable sundeck on a smooth wooden ferry deck under the Caribbean sun in a white bikini was different from her ice hockey life, but she was enjoying every minute with Andy. She felt like she could relax after winning the gold medal at the Ice Hockey Olympics but she felt more relaxed that she had found someone that could comfort and support her. And she was glad that she found someone since Jordan and was better than Jordan.

Riley sighed as she leaned on Andy’s black t-shirt. They laughed.

“You know, Riley, this is something I would never have dreamt in my whole life,” Andy said.

“He’s right,” Andy’s Anger said. “He always dreamt he would be a famous actor or rock star.”

“Without realizing he could get addicted to drugs, smoking and alcohol,” his Fear added.

“Guys!” Andy’s Joy snapped. “We’ve helped him found true happiness. A job that helps him help unlucky children. I think the world’s going to be a better place with him.”

“Yeah, if the world leaders let him make a difference that is,” his Sadness moaned.

            Everyone ignored him.

“And he’s found a girl that he’s in a relationship with,” Andy’s Joy added. “That’s more than can be said for the girls he went out with at college.”

Riley smiled. “I know I may be speaking too soon, but I feel like this is ten times better than winning a gold medal.”

“And I couldn’t agree with her more,” Joy said.

All the other emotions agreed, except Sadness. “I just hope she doesn’t forget to put more sun block on later.”

Then they heard the ship’s horn blow.

“Oh, good, it’s adventure time,” Joy said. “Everyone, get ready.”

Andy took off his t-shirt and put his green snorkel mask on. It matched his lawn swim shorts. Then he dived in the sea. Riley followed him. Holding hands together, they enjoyed exploring the warm and lovely Caribbean Sea together.
