The Home From The 1960's

When a "loving friend" dare apparently fearless friends Sam and Abby to enter an abandoned home from the 1960's things get weird and possibly scary. Will they regret their actions or will they feel pity?

1. The Dare

Sam's POV

"Mm, Sam truth or dare?"

Oh Aryana, she has been my best friend ever since third grade and she still doesn't understand that I don't like truth or dare.

"Aryana! We already discussed this, I don't wanna play! You knew that ever since third grade."

Sometimes, friends are SO annoying!

"Fine dare!"

But sometimes they are life savers! Just like Abby right now, she just took my dare. Only if I she knew that I was mentally thanking her.

"Ok, Abby I dare you and Sam to go into that abandoned house from the 60's. The one near the forest but only for an hour."

"WHAT?! No way Ary, you can't dare two people at once!" Abby argued, you can't ever talk back to her, she is definitely capable of hurting people.

I instantly regretted inviting Megan over because I knew she was about to make a smart-ass comment about us being "too scared!" So I just started to play with my straightened garnet hair while waiting, yes I dye my hair. Why? It is simply just fun and gives me something to do.

"Oh Abby! You're too scared aren't ya?! I know you too will back out because you two are wimps!"

There is the Megan I know, her mom is a teacher at our old elementary school. She was a tattle tale and she was very weak and definitely more of a wimp than I was. But I toughened up after a few years and I almost killed someone, again I know. I first did it in second grade, I was definitely feared but then I stopped trying so I wouldn't get in trouble.

"Fine! I'm in! You Abby?"

I was too fed up with Megan so I just accepted it.

"Sure! Why not? When do we have to go?"

OMFG Aryana! Why did she choose tomorrow?!

"But Hairyana! Tomorrow is my birthday!" Yup Hairyana is one of the nicknames she hates so I decided to bother her. Nice right?

"Tomorrow it is! Oh and Sammy don't call me Hairyana." Ughh! She called me Sammy again! I honestly just feel like a little girl when people call me that and I hate it! I'm turning 18 tomorrow not 5!

Abby's POV

I still don't understand why Sam invited Megan, like honestly, I know they are both on the same volleyball team but really, this is too weird. Plus, she called me a wimp!!! A WIMP! I am honestly having a hard time staying calm, I was just called a wimp by one of the biggest wimps I know! Besides, would a wimp try and break her finger?! Unfortunately, Megan is the least of my worries now, I actually have to go into an abandoned house from the 1960's tomorrow. The weirdest part is, is that a few years ago, there was a bunch of work done on the house but no one lives there. Probably just the government trying to make yet another house look presentable so people will try and buy it. I should just stop worrying about that, besides there is no such thing as a house that is actually haunted. Right?

The Next Day

Sam's POV

Well hello 18 and hello old creepy house. I can't believe I am actually doing this, what if it is haunted? I know silly right? I do believe in spirits but I will find out if they haunt the house or if something or someone lives there.

Currently I am outside my house waiting for Aryana and Abby to pick me up so I can get this over with already. Oh they're here, yay! (Note the sarcasm)

The car ride was VERY quiet, not one word was said, not even a "hello" or "how are you?" Nothing. It wasn't even a comfortable silence. Plus I was put in the backseat again! I am 3 inches taller than Abby and 8 inches taller than Aryana, like come on!

"Come on! We're here girls! Mentally prepare yourselves because if anything happens, it could affect you!" Oh Aryana, she was clearly trying to make the whole situation scary but she was also clearly failing.

The house was even creepier than I thought, it looks even older when you go up close. The once white paint was chipping, the once beautiful garden in front of the porch was now dead and black,it was 3 stories high and I'm guessing that there is a basement, just thinking of the home gave me the chills. As we approached the front door we started hearing owls, which somewhat helped me calm down.

"So, Samantha, don't freak out if there are spiders and don't scare Abby. Abby, don't kill anything, including Sam and don't try to scare her. I will open this very door in 60 minutes okay? Be safe and don't die." Aryana said smiling as soft as she could. How could she be smiling though?

Aryana's POV

Oh, I am so glad this is happening. I mean don't get me wrong, they are my best friends but while they are gone in the house, I'm gonna go to the mall for a few hours and eat fro-yo, so I won't see them for about another 5 hours. I love them (as friends of course) but they have done SO many things to me to scare me, so this is the perfect opportunity to get them back!
