Today, was rainy and kinda slow at the produce stand, but now, I'm going to sit back, relax and write my 3 Good Things of the day....
1. The Little Boy...
A little boy came by the produce stand where I work with my mom. (My family runs it and stuff. I just go to help my mom and stuff, so it's pretty much my job for the early Spring, whole Summer and late into Fall!)
Anyway, this boy was probably about nine or ten years old...Maybe even eleven.
He came in and got a watermelon, but that's not all.
He told my mom that he and his grandpa love watermelon, when my mom asked if his grandpa was the one who'd sent him in, the boy said no.
He told her that he came in to buy a watermelon to surprise his grandpa with.
It warmed our hearts.
So then he asked about the apples....
He paid for the watermelon and said that he'd be back to get apples.
Well, after carrying them outside to the car, he came back and got two of each kind(We only had Gala and Golden Delicious.).
Then after he'd paid for his apples, he bought strawberries and as he was paying for them, I heard him say that the strawberries were for his sister...
So, he got a watermelon for his grandpa, apples for him and then strawberries for his sister.
He was so sweet, I just wanted to hug him!
It gets me when kids do that sort of thing...But only some of them do.
This boy was putting others before himself...Not many people do that anymore.
Guys like that are hard to find and far and few.
Now don't get me wrong, there are some guys that do, but a lot of the time, they don't.
The same goes for girls, it's not only a guy thing.
I was so touched by this little boy though.
I pray that when he grows up, he still puts others before himself, because that is a wonderful thing that is being lost in today's society....
My dad had bought some azaleas for oour produce stand(And a few other things too!)... Well, they are beautiful, but they weigh a ton!
Mountain dirt is heavy and when you've got a potful, ugh! Let's just say that you'll be building those muscles up in no time!
But, I realized that, even though they weigh a ton, they are so beautiful!
It's amazing looking at how God can make something that looked dead, look, well, alive!
The beautiful blooms are incredible and I wish that they'd stick around longer than they normally do...But the azaleas are so mezmerizing when they're in bloom!
3. The Ability To See
This is something that we take for granted all the time, and there are some people who we're good friends with, who have a daughter who is blind... We also have some other friends who have a mother who lost sight in one of her eyes...
I couldn't imagine what it's like, not being able to see....I wish that I could help people who are blind to see the beauty.
I've seen things and places that were so mezmerizing and incredible to me, but some people don't get to see anything at all. They can feel it, hear it and smell it, but they can't see it.
I'm so glad and tremendously BLESSED that I am able to see.
That I'm able to be completely mezmerized by things and entranced by them.
I'm just incredibly happy for my vision!!!!!
