The next day, I was walking through the woods...Probably not the smartest thing to do in an arena filled with teenagers who are trying to kill you but......
So, as I walked through the forest, I looked around and listened closely, not knowing what exactly was in this place.
I had covered alot of ground within the past two hours and I had even found a huge cliff.
No use in trying to jump off though because, I tried to see what would happen, I bounced back.
It was actually really fun!
So, as I continued on to see where I could go, I ended up coming across a fresh abandoned came.
Smoke still came from the fire that was barely put out.
It looked like a career camp, but there were only two places.
Seriously these kids were stupid when it came right down to it.
They had some cool tactics--and most of them actually won the games each year, but honestly, they all had big heads.
They were mostly jerks who only thought of thereselves...It was pitiful and stupid of them.
As I looked around, I noticed something sitting against a tree.
Someone had forgotten their weapon...How stupid of them.
I smiled and laughed to myself as I picked it up and then I heard the voices, they were still close.
"Wait! Travis, I forgot my bow!" A female voice said.
"Well, hurry and get it Alana." The male voice said and I heard he start running.
Quickly, I looked around and spotted a cave.
Running into it, I pressed myself against the dark, cold wall.
"Travis! My bow isn't here, did you take it?" The girl asks.
"Crap!" I whisper.
Thank goodness that the cave didn't make my whisper louder.
I heard 'Travis' come back.
"Good gosh Alana, can't you keep up with your weapons?" He asks rather snottily.
I roll my eyes. What a jerk!
"It was leaned against that tree right there!" She says.
He looks around.
"Or did you leave it in our spot next to the lake? You know, you are very forgetful." He says.
"Could you just stop and help me please?"
"Alana, what are you going to do when we team-up with the other careers?" He asks her. "You won't be able to keep up with us."
"You sorry son of a---"
"Na, uh, uh." He says. "You better not or I'll kill you right now."
Quietly, I aimed the bow at the boy, tired of his stuck up self.
I realeased the arrow and within two seconds he was on the ground.
The girl looked around and then ran off, obviously scared of what was hidden from her eyes.
I was about to walk out when I felt a hand cover my mouth and another one jerk me back inside.
"Shh..." The voice said in my ear.
It was an unfamiliar voice and shivers ran down my spine at the sound of it.
I was taken out into the sunlight and the person suddenly released me.
As I turned around, I was shocked.
Where did the person go?
No one was there...
As I made my way back to my tree, I noticed that someone had been there.
Boot prints and blood were found there.
I climbed up the tree quickly and then tried to fall asleep for the night.
No music, no announcement, no nothing...We made it a day wthout killing anyone...That should be an achievement!
