After about 6 months of Amelia and I working, we had finally saved enough money to have the wedding and buy an apartment. Amelia and I lied on the couch together. She lied her head on my chest. Jay knew where I was and he could ell Amelia and I were in love so he agreed to keep it a secret where we were.
"I can't wait until we're married " I smiled.
"Me neither." Amelia smiled and cuddled me.
Dad walked in from his room.
"Ki, come here." He said. Amelia sat up and kissed my cheek.
"Don't be too long." She smiled.
I walked up to my dad.
He pushed me into the kitchen.
'What's wrong?" I asked.
"So I was in the bathroom..."
"Dad, please, not another one of these stories." I said and tried leaving the kitchen.
"Amelia is pregnant." Dad said suddenly before I walked out the door.
"I saw the pregnancy test in the trash."
I looked at my dad.
"I'm going to be a dad?" I asked.
"What do I do?" I asked.
"You're not going to leave, are you?" Dad asked.
"What? No, I'm talking about what should I do? Should I tell her I know or wait for her to tell me or...?"
I peeked out of the door to see Amelia watching TV. I stared at her and smiled.
I closed the door.
"I'm going to be honest." I said and left the kitchen.
I sat by Amelia and smiled.
"Hey Amelia, I have to tell you something."
She smiled at me.
"I know you're pregnant."
"Look, Ki, I was afraid to tell you because you might leave or get mad or hate me or-" I kissed her lips.
"I'm excited." I smiled.
She stared at me and smiled.
"Of course." I smiled and held her close.
My dad walked into the room. "Oh, hey Gramps." Amelia laughed.
"Excuse me while I go to my room and say good bye to being young."
"Dad, you're not young." I laughed.
"Thanks." He Iaughed.
I held Amelia tight.
"I can't imagine my life without you."
A Month Later
I stood at the end of the aisle, smiling so big. I saw my dad escorting Amelia to me. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. Her eyes shone brighter than the sun and it was like the world faded away.
She held my hand when she got to me.
"I have been informed that the bride and groom have written their own vows."
"I would never imagine being here with you. It all seems like a dream. Everything about you makes me fall in love. Your hair, your eyes, your voice, the way you dance, the way you laugh. There is nobody I'd rather be here with." I smiled.
"All my life I thought that I would never be happy. The first day of middle school, that all changed. And now I'm here with you, the one I love, and I can't imagine I was ever broken."
