She stared at me, with stars in her eyes.
"Hey, Ki?" She asked.
"Will you stay the night with me?"
"Marie, that's nice, but you're my everything and if we have-"
"No, Ki, not like that. Just for you to be by my side." She laughed.
I smiled and kissed her.
"I would like that."
We went to her house. She told me to go to her room while she talked to her dad. After a while, I decided to see if everything was okay.
"Marie, I don't want you having sex!" Her dad shouted.
"Dad, we're not going to. Look, he makes everything better. I just want be next to him. Dad, please?" Marie asked.
There was a long pause.
"Dad, I've always had a crush on him. Please?"
Her dad sighed, "Okay."
She walked to her room and saw me.
"Ki, did you hear anything?" She asked.
"Did you mean what you said?" I asked.
"Of course. The way you laughed, the way you smiled, your voice..." She smiled.
I held her hand.
"Maybe you should tell your parents where you are."
"I'll text her. Do you maybe want to watch a movie?" I smiled.
"What movie were you thinking?" She smiled.
"It doesn't matter as long as I'm with you."
She put a scary movie on. Every time something popped up on the screen, she buried her head in my chest.
After about an hour, she didn't even look the the TV. She just lied on her side, staring at me.
I smiled and gently moved the hair out of her face. Even with all the screaming on TV, all I saw was her. All I heard was her.
"I could stare at you forever." I smiled.
She blushed and moved closer.
I wrapped my arms around her. I heard her yawn. I kissed her forehead and cuddled her.
I fell asleep next to the one person I always wished I could be next to.
As the morning sun shone through the window, I opened my eyes and Marie's blonde hair sparkled like glitter in the sea. She looked so peaceful. I ran my fingers through her hair.
Her eyes slowly opened. Her eyes were as bright as I have ever seen them. I knew the sun made them brighter, but in my heart, I hoped it was because I was with her, that I was a reason her eyes were like that.
"Good morning, beautiful." I smiled.
"Are you hungry?" I asked.
"No, I feel perfect." She smiled and cuddled me.
"You are." I smiled.
She kissed me.
"You know, it's only Saturday. Would you maybe like to go out again?"
"We just went out last night."
"I know but I'm not one of those guys that goes weeks without taking you out again. I want to spend every day with you."
She held me tight.
"I'd love to."
She looked into my eyes.
"Everything is better with you." She smiled.
"Well, nothing is good without you. I could win a million bucks and win a trip to Paris, but I would be in Hell if I wasn't with you."
She held me close.
"You're all I need." She whispered.
