Thank you Tony said Jim as he picked up a copy of Dawns contract so that Richard Charnock his Lawyer could peruse it and make sure everything was legal and binding.’
Rosina got into the back of the car with Dawn and asked if she had enjoyed herself.’
“Yes I think so said Dawn.’
It’s not as easy as it looks though; you know with all the retakes and stuff but I suppose it has to be done right.’
I had to do thirty two retakes on a song I recorded once because when it was played back it just didn’t sound right. Anyway we got it in the end and it was a smash hit.’
Daddy why don’t you get “The Dune Tunes’ back together I’m sure you could be great again.’
“I mean you are not that old you know and I’m sure the rest of the lads would love to get back in the recording studio.’
“I don’t know princess we are going to be working pretty hard to produce an album over the next few months.
“Months,’ I thought Tony said a couple of weeks; we have to come up with the music to the lyrics I have written Dawn. That takes time and we have to get it just right.’
I see; so it really is going to be down to me to come up with some music then.’
“I will help you though honey.’
“Don’t forget Dawn is only seven years old Jim; She has school and homework and she needs to have friends around her too.’
“She will have lots of friends once she is famous.’
“I used to get fan mail from all over America, Canada, Australia, as well as England.’
“Don’t forget Italy said Rosina.’
“Yes, sorry darling. Rosina wrote to me and sent her photo and told me that she was coming to England to live with her father and that I should visit Ilforno’s as her guest.’
“I did and now look at us.’
“You look so happy together daddy.’
“We are and you know what I love her almost as much as you.’
Thank you George said Jim as they got out at Heathrow airport and went to check in.’
Thirty minutes later they were on board the plane and heading back to Newcastle.
The fight seemed a lot quicker coming back than it had been going. Dawn was tired and when she got back to the house she lay on her bed and slept until the next morning.
Dawn was awakened by the sound of voices from down stairs and quickly washed and went down.
There was a man talking with her father and when he saw her he said “this is your daughter Jim?’
Yes, isn’t she beautiful?’
“She certainly is that.’
“Say hello to your Solicitor Richard Charnock Dawn.’
“Hello she said shyly to the man wearing a light blue suit.
“He was about thirty five she guessed with neatly trimmed hair and gold rimmed spectacles. His hooked nose told her that he was Jewish.’
Pleased to meet you Dawn said Richard and I hope that we can be friends for a long time to come.’
“Richard is going to look after all your finances darling; that way all your taxes and expenses will be worked out and you do not have to worry about money.’
