I managed to find time for dancing. We had a few days before the show started up again.
Rising was gone.
The funniest thing to me was the fact that everyone was out at the moment or busy doing something, so I was in the basement alone, because, for some reason, I had loads on my mind, and they weren't the competition.
It was that stupid game on my head. I was.... whats that word again? Scared?
Yeah. Scared was a word that meant my name might as well not mean "fire farmstead of Elian". Yes. Strange meaning, but I guess it makes sense. I grew up on a farm.
But I had to get it off my mind. What should you dance too now? What now? What now?
The door burst open in the middle of the song. It was one of my favorite songs, so I didn't care who it was because I wanted to finish it, so you know I did. And when it was over, I looked up.
Luke. Out of all the people, it was Luke.
My face burned. I didn't have makeup on because I didn't feel like experimenting with my face, like I usually did almost every morning.
"Hi," I said and smiled at him.
"Hi," Luke said and smiled back.
'Whats up?" I said.
"I just came to say good luck," he said.
"Oh, so we're enemies now?"
"No, I don't think so."
I laughed. "That would be awkward."
"Yeah. It would be."
I smiled and pulled my hair up away from my face, taking a drink of lemonade. The of it feeling was amazing, and also it was hot in here. But not just from dancing. Just from the presence of him being here.
