1. The glorified glance
I am tired of all the people telling me that my time will come. All that bullshit about how faith is already planned out, and that the only thing you can do is sit around and wait. You better hurry, soulmate, or I might as well not exist by the time you show up.
Sixteen years. That's the unbearable length of my wait. The time I have been longing for something better. Imagining the love of my life, the person I am brought up to looking for. I have dreamt dreams and hoped for change. Never have I ever experienced anything even close to that. My life is just an endless chain of-
Slowly I drift away from my deep, life-questioning thoughts and back to the real world. A pair of crystal clear, blue eyes stare concerned at me. As I feel my body being dragged up by a tight grip, the eyes gain a silhouette. A fair, dark haired boy stands in front of me. I feel a stinge of anxiety as I hear myself expressing how sorry I am in a haste. His lips make the perfect smile, as he laughs. Maybe I am just lost in his bewitching facial features, or is that really an admiring look?
I swear that the last two minutes were the longest I've ever lived trough. It feels like the world is passing us by, second by second, as I look into his eyes. Buried further into a glance than I have ever been before. Endless is the only fitting word for the moment. Unfortunately, that is exactly what it is. A moment. Although it was a great one, it does not last forever. The bell reminds me about that.
As he escape the blurriness he introduces himself by saying briefly, "Noah Garfield". Suddenly, before I get the chance to pronounce my name, he prowls down the hallway. I smile to myself as I see the last glimpse of him. Noah.
This is my first story ever, so tell me in the comments what you think :))
