Brat Facts

I come from this close-knit family of Brats.
Military Brats, that is.

We go through all of the horrors a military family entails. We face the hardships of our parent being gone for many months at a time and having to learn how to be strong without them.
Sometimes. . . It's a nightmare.

But despite all of the troubled skies that we most often have to face, I know I wouldn't trade this life for anything.

23. Fact 19: Our Future is Pretty Much Set in Stone.

I want to be just like my dad and join the Air Force.

A trauma medic, to be exact.

It's been my dream ever since I was in the 7th grade.

Many of us Brats will want to continue on the legacy and join the military because we've grown up with spectacular role models.

My Army Brat friend wants to join the Army. My cousin's boyfriend, who was an Army brat, wants to join the Army after college. One of my best friends(Though he wasn't a Brat), wants to join the Marines. An uncle of mine(Blood related) joined the Air Force when he graduated high school. A cousin of mine(Blood related) joined Coast Guard when he graduated high school as well.

It's kind of inevitable.

Either you join, or you do your goddamn best to get yourself hitched to someone who is.
