Trust Me, I Should Know.

This is the story of two sisters, Lilly and Rose, their father, Midas, and his strange new secret. The sisters know their father is hiding something from them and are hell-bent on finding out what... Whatever it takes.

1. Lilly - The Blue Sky.

As I look up at the birds flying in the deep blue sky I wish that I was as free as those creatures, soaring and swooping, flying free. I always felt strangely empty, wishing that I could be up there, flying away with them, away from my troubles, but for now I was stuck on the ground, my feet heavy, as if stuck in concrete. I hear the small ring of the door bell and I rush downstairs, waiting for my father to recount to me his tiring day at work - the caretaker for our school. As soon as I had reached the foot of the stairs my dad cried "DON'T TOUCH ME!" This wasn't unusual in itself, (my dad was usually self-conscious about having floor-polish still lingering in his hair), but the pure desperation in his voice made me skid to a halt, gaining myself a few painful splinters in my foot on the harsh wooden ground. "What is it," I asked, my voice cautious, "what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong," he answered, "just that you mustn't touch okay?"

"Why not?" I asked, my voice still wary. "Tell me. Please," My father shook his head. "I can't!" I was shocked. My father never refused me anything. Something was wrong, but I knew better than to pester him about it. I simply walked back up to my room, and cried.
