1. Socks

you use me because I'm
helpful,
convenient,
my insides created to fill the
gaps in your life;
I can't possibly suit my
own.

you stretch
                                me,
throw
                                me,
just a materialistic thing that
feels nothing;
therefore can be
misused.

I feel myself
drowning,
drowning in cycles of
usage and cleansing;
fading and tearing;
fighting and
falling.

I'm damaged but I'm
replaced because I'm
helpful,
convenient,
my insides created to fill the
gaps in your life;
they only tear a
hole in my
own.
