“Alright I’m sorry Brenda; would you like to go out tomorrow night after Ronnie and I go to the TA. We will only be there half an hour I expect.’

“I don’t want to go out Roger; I just want to be with you; can you understand that.’

Yes, of course.’

Okay then; will you come around tonight?

“Yes Ronnie and I will pick you up and we can either go for a meal somewhere or go for a quiet drink.’

“Mam has cooked for me so it will just be a quiet drink tonight.’

“Where would you like to go?’

“Truthfully, I what like to go to a hotel somewhere and spend the next two days with you.’

There are some guest houses in Whitley Bay; I will ring them and book us a room for two nights.’

“Really?’

“Yes, I will speak to Ronnie; can you get two days off work?’

“I have a couple of lieu days that is owed to me so I will ring my boss.’

I cannot see there being a problem.’

“Alright then I will pick you up at seven from your house.’ don’t forget to bring an overnight bag.’

“I won’t see you soon bye.’

Roger put down the phone then checked his kit He got the ironing board out and began to iron his clothes that he would need to wear for going away and he bulled his boots. Then he looked through the chronicle at guest houses. There were no vacancies available. Feathers Caravans were offering a two night deal so he rang the number.’

Hello Feather’s Caravans said Roger.’

Yes, I would like to book a caravan for four people for two nights.’

“What name sir; said the lady on the other end?’

“Roger thought for a moment then said Mr and Mrs P McCracken.

“Do you know the name of the other couple?’

“Yes its Mr and Mrs A Gudfele.’

Could you spell that for me sir?

“Yes of course, Roger kept a straight face not laughing on the other end of the phone or it would give the game away.’
