The Blonde Girl: Rewritten Version

I watch her walking down the halls I glance at her in class I admire her features from afar And though I keep distance cast There are many things I'd be willing to lose Just to hold her tight Oh what I'd give for fee attention To be with her one night There are no words to perfectly Describe her when she sings Perhaps, like an angel signaling The arrival of spring Her gentle, calming voice, yet firm Is opera to the ears The shining star within her Casts a shadow on her peers I will confess my weakness For her hair that glimmers like threaded gold Her skin has less flaws than pure marble Her green eyes, tiny emeralds She was a beautiful treasure That no pirate could attain She was the envy of every gathering She was that stopped my rain Such a beautiful face she has That provides me with such elation Her beauty, fair, could be compared To any Renaissance creation She graces the stage that is her world Like a royal White Swan She shined her light in any dark space As if she were the sun at dawn Her features would have been the envy of Venus if thy did exist It pains me that I can't touch her skin I ache to one day feel her lips But I could never act on thoughts I was always in such fear That she would cringe at me on sight And demand I disappear How could I dare approach her And will myself to look in her face? What could I possibly say to her? Oh I'd be so out of place! To be with her is a hopeless daydream Even the blindest man could see She'd never want my company I'm a mutant to her majesty She's the one who everyone sees I'm invisible to all The daydream forms a nightmare of Pathetic love that leads my heart to fail I must admire from afar Like a peasant to a queen While I know I'll never have her She'll be with me in my dreams

1. The Rewritten Version

I watch her walking down the halls

I glance at her in class

I admire her features from afar

And though I keep distance cast

There are many things I'd be willing to lose

Just to hold her tight

Oh what I'd give for fee attention

To be with her one night

There are no words to perfectly

Describe her when she sings

Perhaps, like an angel signaling

The arrival of spring

Her gentle, calming voice, yet firm

Is opera to the ears

The shining star within her

Casts a shadow on her peers

I will confess my weakness

For her hair that glimmers like threaded gold

Her skin has less flaws than pure marble

Her green eyes, tiny emeralds

She was a beautiful treasure

That no pirate could attain

She was the envy of every gathering

She was that stopped my rain

Such a beautiful face she has

That provides me with such elation

Her beauty, fair, could be compared

To any Renaissance creation

She graces the stage that is her world

Like a royal White Swan

She shined her light in any dark space

As if she were the sun at dawn

Her features would have been the envy of Venus if thy did exist

It pains me that I can't touch her skin

I ache to one day feel her lips

But I could never act on thoughts

I was always in such fear

That she would cringe at me on sight

And demand I disappear

How could I dare approach her

And will myself to look in her face?

What could I possibly say to her?

Oh I'd be so out of place!

To be with her is a hopeless daydream

Even the blindest man could see

She'd never want my company

I'm a mutant to her majesty

She's the one who everyone sees

I'm invisible to all

The daydream forms a nightmare of

Pathetic love that leads my heart to fail

I must admire from afar

Like a peasant to a queen

While I know I'll never have her

She'll be with me in my dreams
