39. Chapter Thirty Nine

Natalia's POV

I turned over in Jason's bed and stretched my arms out. Last night's events replayed in my mind, as I looked at the pink ring on my finger. Our nice dinner and nice picnic turned into something extremely dangerous and risky. We did something that could change our lives for literally ever.

Jason turned to me and smiled. "What's wrong?" He asked, looking at my worried face.

"I know when you're lying. Your mouth twitches, and you get these creases on your forehead."

"You noticed that?" He looked at me. "I just don't want to regret last night,"

"Last night was amazing, T. Stop worrying about it."

"But what if we get punished for it?"

"Punished how? We did nothing wrong."

"Maybe... I don't know, I end up pregnant."

"That won't happen, trust me."

"How do you know, Jase?"

"I just know. Don't worry about that, alright?" I nodded and put my head on his chest. Jason and I came home last night, still in the heat of the moment.

"We have school," I said, getting out of bed. He groaned and slammed his head into the pillow.

"I don't wanna go."

"I'm not making you go. But... You did promise Mr. Lionel that you'd be a good boy."

He rolled his eyes. "But it's Monday. Don't make me go, baby."

"Don't do that," I said. "Do what?" He asked. "Call me baby," He smiled.

"Jason, get up and shower,"

"What if I don't want to?" He asked, getting out of bed.

"Then don't," He put his arms around my waist and put his head on my shoulder.

"I wanna stay with you."

"As flattered as I am, you smell,"

"I do not."

"You do. You smell like... Sex."

"Well... You do too."

"If I shower, will you come with me?"

"Jason, I don't have time today,"

I groaned and walked to the bathroom. "Are you coming or not?" He ran to me and smiled.

After the very eventful shower, Jason and I finally got dressed. He wore his normal black jeans and black shirt, where I wore my black leggings and Jason's white shirt.

"Can I wear it?"

"No," Jason replied.

"Absolutely not."

"Come on, let me wear it this one time,"

"Babe, this jacket costs four hundred dollars. It's leather, pure leather. And it has my name on the back. There's no way I'm letting you wear it."

"Fine," I grabbed his car keys and smirked.

"You are not driving my car,"

"Oh, I am. It's either the jacket or the car."

"Don't do that to me. They're both my baby."

"I have a better chance of ruining your car, then your jacket."

"Fine. You can drive my car."

"Never, and I mean never, will I let you drive my car,"

"It wasn't that bad,"

"You're a maniac when you drive!"

"I told you to give me the jacket," He rolled his eyes. "Is that a rain drop?"

"I didn't feel anything." He replied, getting his and my backpack.

"Jason!" I yelled as the rain picked up. He looked at me and put his leather jacket over my head.

"What about you?!" I asked over the rain.

"Don't worry about me." He replied, running with me into the school, with his four hundred dollar leather jacket protecting me from the rain. Jason took his jacket back to him, as we entered the school, but he frowned.

"I'll buy you a new one,"

"Don't you dare by me a new one."

"Jase, I'm sorry,"

"Why? Because it rained?" Before I got to reply, Jackson and Amber came up to us with smug looks on their faces.

"Nothing, nothing."

"When you look at us with that look, you have something to say?"

"Alright, fine!" Jackson exclaimed.

"How was the date?" Amber asked, with her eyebrows up. I looked at Jason, who had his eyes focused on Jackson.

"You told her?"

"You told him?" I asked, turning to Jason.

"Jackson knew, T. Remember, Emily helped me out."

"I got to get to first class," Jason said, kissing my cheek. "See you later?" He asked. I nodded and watched as he walked away with Jackson next to him.

"So, what did you do on the date?"

"Went out to dinner,"

"No." She said sarcastically.

"He took me out to an expensive restaurant. And then he set up a picnic at Brooklyn Park." I blushed.

"That's adorable."

"And what?"

"Don't flip out,"

"About what?" I looked around, seeing too many people in the halls. I dragged Amber into a closet and closed the door behind me.

"Talia, what the hell did you do last night that's s-"

"we did stuff."

"Alright? And?"

"Without, um..." I stopped talking, when I noticed her reaction.

"Are you stupid!? Do you know what could happen!?" I just kept looking down. "Ho.... Why? Why would you do it, if you didn't... I can't Natalia." I just stood there, with my head down, and tears in my eyes.

"Do you know what could happen, Talia? The amount of girls Jason slept with, who knows if one of them had some disease! You could be pregnant, Talia! Did you even think about the consequences!?"

"Would you keep your voice down?"

"No! I won't!"

"You're getting tested."

"For what!?"

"For a disease, or God forbid a baby." She replied, before walking out of the closet, leaving me standing alone in my tears. I walked down the hallway, way too late to go to class. Cameron texted me asking where I was, but I didn't answer. I guess Cameron texted Jason because he ended up texting me asking why I wasn't in my first class. But again, I didn't answer. I walked into Jason's class, with tears in my eyes.

"Excuse me? Are you in the wrong class?" His teacher asked.

"N-no. I... I need someone."

"Are you okay? You don't look so good." She said, walking to me.

"I'm fine," I replied, looking around the class. All of a sudden, it felt like the walls were closing in on me, and everyone was staring at me.

"Can you tell me your name?" She asked, holding onto my shoulder. I couldn't speak. I couldn't think. I could barely see. I looked around the class, looked back at Jason then Jackson, and dropped to the ground.

Jason's POV

"Talia!" I yelled, running to the front of the room. Everyone stood around us, with wide eyes. Gasps and whispers went around the room, and Mrs. George shook her head.

"Jason, bring her to the nurse."

"Jackson," He stood up and walked to me. We walked down the hallway to the nurse, with thousands of thoughts in my mind. "Is she breathing?"

"Yeah. I can hear her." As long as she's breathing.

"What happened?" Our nurse asked.

"I don't know. She passed out." I replied, setting her on the high table.

"Alright, get me an ice pack from the freezer."  She put the ice pack on Talia's head and waited.

"You have to wait. Have patience, my dear." I took a deep breath and walked around her office. "Go back to class, you two."

"Hell no. This is my girlfriend, and I am not leaving her here."

"I'm with him," Jackson replied.

"Can one of you get in touch with her parents?"

"They're on their way to the airport,"

"Any family member?"

"Her uncle,"

"Call him, please?" I reached into Talia's back pocket and took out her iPhone.

"T? Is everything okay?"

"No, it's Jason,"

"Jason? Why are you calling off of Talia's phone?"

"Can you get to the school?"

"Yes, why?"

"Talia passed out," The phone hung up and went dead.

"He's on his way," I informed.

"You two have a seat. I'll inform your teacher you're with me." The nurse said. I sat on the bed beside Talia and took her hand in mine.

"So, how was last night?" Jackson asked.

"What was her reaction to the promise rings?"

"She cried. And asked how much they cost. Then we um, yeah."

"At Brooklyn park?" I nodded.

"Did you have... You know?" I shook my head. "You took the risk?"

"It was a stupid idea, I know. That's probably why she passed out. She was probably worried about what could happen like she was this morning."

Cile walked into the nurse's office, and walked to me. "What did you do!" He yelled, grabbing my shirt in his grasp and pushing me against the nearest wall.

"Like hell you didn't!"

"I didn't do anything! I was in class!" I exclaimed.

"Sir, please let the student go. He was the one who brought her here." The nurse said. He looked at me and let me go. Jackson came over to me and held my shoulders.

"She just saved your ass." I nodded and fixed my shirt. Talia's head moved to the side and her eyes opened widely.

"Talia," I said, getting up.

"Where am I?"

"You're at the nurse, baby. Do you remember what happened?"

"I was talking to Amber, and she was yelling about w-"

"your uncle is here, babe,"

She widened her eyes and sat up. "No, no. Make him go home."

"Lay back down,"

"Amber, she was yelling about what happened last night." She whispered. "And she was saying how I could have a disease or..." She stopped herself from talking. "I think I'm gonna be sick."

"Yo!" Jackson yelled, moving out of the way.

"Oh dear. I'll call the janitor." The nurse said, picking the phone up. "I need someone in the health office."

"What the hell is that!" Cile yelled.

"Um... Throw up?"

"Yes, smart ass. But why?"

"Because she got sick?"

"Listen to me, and listen closely, I know you two are sleeping together. And if you got her pregnant, that child wouldn't be able to see you."

"Uncle Cile, stop,"

"Natalia, h-"

"I said stop. I am not pregnant, at all." I looked to her.

"What is going on?" Cile asked.

"Jason and I went out on a date last night. And we had unprotected sex." He pinched the brim of his nose and paced the floor.

"How do you know you're not pregnant, Natalia?"

"Uncle Cile, I think I would know if I'm pregnant,"

"You need to be tested tonight."

"no other words, Natalia. I am buying you a test, and I am sitting in that damn room with you."

Natalia's POV

"I can't believe you were stupid enough to do that." Uncle Cile scoffed. "I thought your dad raised you better."

"Excuse me? My dad raised me a hell a lot better than you ever could."

He looked at me. "If my dad was still here, he would not threaten my boyfriend,"

"Excuse me, for worrying about my seventeen-year-old niece, who is sleeping with someone who has been with half of New York." I narrowed my eyes at him. The timer went off, and I looked down.

"See, I told you," I said, throwing the test at him. I pushed him out of the way and shook my head. "There's a difference between sleeping with someone and being in love with someone. Unlike you, I know the difference."

"What happened to you?"

"Nothing happened to me,"

"You used to be so smart. You've changed."

"No, Uncle Cile, I haven't. I'm seeing the world how I wanted to see it. I'm living my life. You just can't see that I'm happy." I replied, before walking out of the room.

"Well?" Jason asked. "Just like I said, not pregnant," I replied, taking his hand in mine.

 "Where are we going?"

"Take me home," I said as Uncle Cile walked out of the bathroom.

"please. Take me home. Get me out of this house."

"Okay, okay."

"You know, he had the right to act that way," I looked at him. "If I was a father, I wouldn't want my daughter to be seventeen and pregnant with someone like me."

"No, he's wrong. He said things that are wrong. Don't you take his side."

"I'm not taking his side. I'm just saying."

"I'm sorry for scaring you."

"Don't be sorry. I should've been scared. Hell, I'm not ready to become a father. I haven't even thought about kids." He said. "Me either." I laughed.

"But the good thing is... You're not pregnant, and we don't have to worry about that ever again."

"Because we will never do that again."

"Right. Wait."

"I mean... Without anything." He nodded and pulled into his driveway.

"Macey and Zackary are here, by the way,"

"I know. Who do you think picked them up?"

"You're amazing."

"I know."

Talia and Jason got lucky. This time. But what about another time?

A lot of people commented saying they would laugh if she got pregnant. I know in my writing, I have made the characters pregnant at a young age. But I decided not in this one:) comment your thoughts, ideas, opinions.
