56. Chapter Fifty Six

This chapter is kind of corny, and cheesy. It's definitely a look in the present and the future. So, hold onto your seats for smiles, laughter, pain and sadness. But it's a good chapter.

Natalia's POV

"Alright class, recently I have passed out a voting sheet. And on that sheet, there were categories and a line. And on the line, you had to put the name of someone in this class, and circle the category they belong in. Due to the end of the year coming fast, I am going to hand out those papers. I have made certificates for the people who've gotten a category. When I call your name, please, come up and get your certificate." Mrs. Kingsley smiled.

"Annie Walkins. Cellphone."

"Brittany Verona. Listener."

"Sophia James. Popular."

"Amber York. Chatterbox."

"Jackson Philips. Flirt."

"Justine Hubert. Nicest eyes."

"Robert Hubert. Sassy." Everyone laughed.

"Natalia Grey. Teacher's pet." I got up and rolled my eyes. Sophia smirked at me, and I looked away from her.

"Nicklaus Amadilla. Class clown."

"Veronica Sprout. Best dressed."

"Mindy Gilbert. Also, teacher's pet." I smiled at Mindy. I've known her since I was in ninth grade, and she is really a teacher's pet, but she doesn't get chosen for anything. Not even in dodgeball at the gym.

"Jason Summers. Class bad boy." I smiled at Jason, as he walked up to the podium. He took a bow and smirked at me.

"And last but certainly not least, with this person earning herself two certificates. Natalia Grey. Class nerd."

The bell rang after I got my certificate, and walked to Jason, who had my things. "I can't believe I got class nerd and teacher's pet." I groaned.

"Oh, come on. It's not that bad." I looked at him. "Is it lying?"

"Shut up, class bad boy."

"Hey, we all know it, don't we?" He asked, walking backward, so his face was turned to me.

"You're gonna crash into something or someone."

"No, I won't." Just as he said that, he fell into a garbage can.

"Told you. You should listen to me sometimes." I smirked, opening the school doors. Mrs. Kingsley's class is our last class for the day. And honestly, it was my favorite class. Not only because I had my best friends in it, and not because my boyfriend was in it, but because Mrs. K is my favorite teacher. And it's my class of the day.

Jason turned the air conditioning on in the car and took a deep breath. "It's hot out." I groaned, taking my flannel off of my body. He nodded and waited for the AC to cool up, before leaving the parking lot.

At school, we have three parking lots, and then there's street parking. Usually, the street parking is the people who end up coming late to school. Because the parking lots fill up so quickly, the students really need to get there early.

Jason has a parking pass for the Junior parking lot. At school, the parking lots go to, teachers, Seniors, Juniors, and then late comers. The seniors get their own parking pass. Unless you're late. If you're a late senior, you either have to park on the street or in the Junior parking lot. Most seniors park in the teacher lot because some teachers don't up.

I turned the radio up in the car and started singing along to the old song playing. "You know this song?" Jason asked. "Who doesn't know this song?"

"Good point." He replied, turning the radio up louder.

"In my life, there's been heartache and pain. I don't know if I can face it again. I can't stop now, I've traveled so far to change this lonely life."

"I wanna know what love is, I want you to show me. I wanna feel what love is, I know you can show me!" Jason and I both yelled. With my body turned to him and my hand over my head, I laughed loudly, as did he. I turned the music down right after the song ended, and smiled.

"What?" He asked, putting his hand on my knee.

"Nothing. That was just so fun."

"Why? Because I sang?" I laughed and nodded.

"Who's picking up Mace from daycare?" Jason asked, opening his car door.

"Uncle Cile. She's going to his house, and Serena has Zack."

"Hm, house to ourselves?"

"Why, Jason Summers, I believe we do."

"I have homework to do."

"Do it later."

"I can't. I have to do it now."

"I think your homework can wait." I rolled my neck back and nodded.

After finishing my homework, Jason and I sat on the couch. I sat with a wine glass in my hand, and Jason sat with a beer in his grasp. A lot of people I know always ask why I drink. But, we live in New York. Brooklyn to be exactly. And what seventeen years old, doesn't drink?

"I want a girl," Jason informed. "Kids wise."

"I want a boy and a girl,"

"I call naming the girl, and choosing what she does," Jason said, raising his hand.

"Shouldn't it be the other way around?" He shrugged.

"Valerie Alexandra. And she'll... Be just like her mother. A nerd who falls for a bad boy." I rolled my eyes and turned to him.

"Nathaniel Jason-Alexander. And he'll... Be nothing like his father. He will be nice and respectful. And he'll fall for a nice girl."

"Nathaniel Jason-Alexander?"

"My dad, you, and your mom's name turned into a guy version,"

"I'm flattered." Jason left the couch and returned with two sheets of paper. He started shredding the paper into large pieces and put them in the middle of the table. He grabbed two pens from the side table and pushed one in front of me.

"We're writing down what we want our kids to be like?"

"Hell yeah. And we'll save them in a closet, so when it comes closer, we'll see what kind of baby we'll have." I smiled widely at him and smoothed my hand over his stubbly face.

"Sporty," Jason said, writing down the word.

"Mamas boy."

"Daddy's girl."

Once we finished, Jason closed the lid to the shoe box, which contained my brand new heels, and sealed up the box.

"Now, we don't open this until we have an actual baby,"

"Correct," I replied.

"Why are you planning this out now? I mean, unless we want kids now, then we don't have to plan it out."

"I know, but I mean, at least now we have some sort of guide line."

"And if we break up?"

"If," he said, emphasizing on the if, "we break up, either one of us will keep it, or we never open it." I nodded. The sounds of the water from the pool filled my ears, as I leaned into Jason. He put his arms around my waist and smiled. "You have no idea how much I love you." He whispered.

"Who wouldn't think. The bad boy fell in love with the Nerd. Isn't it the other way around?"

"Could be. But in our case, no."

"Uncle Cile, come play!" Eight-year-old me yelled.

"I'm coming." He replied, walking into the play room. He closed the door and sat on the floor with me.

"This is Barbie, and this is Ken," He nodded and put his hand on my knee as I explained. "And these are my Polly pocket dolls. Mommy usually plays them with me." I said, as his hand moved higher.

"Mommy usually gives me a bath,"

"A bath?" I nodded. "Alright, bath it is." We walked to the bath, and I looked at him.

"Now what?"

"Now I get in the bath." Little me stripped clothing off and stepped into the boiling hot water. Uncle Cile took a deep breath and watched as I played in the water. "Mommy washes my hair."

"How does she wash your hair?"

"She puts water on my head, then puts the shampoo on, and then she washes my body." Uncle Cile finished putting the shampoo on my head and then grabbed the soap. His hands went over my body, and little me splashed over the tub. My hands flailed, and my hands grabbed his in my own.

"Talia." Again. His hands kept roaming my body, with each flail I made.

"Talia!" Jason yelled. My eyes popped open, seeing Jason on top of me, holding me down. "What the hell was that?"

"A nightmare," I replied, grabbing my glasses next to my bed. I sat up and ran my hands over my face. I pushed my hair behind me and tied it in a high bun. Everything on my desk remained where it needed to be, as I looked around the room. My geometry book remained open, as well as my notebook.

"Talia." I turned my head and shook it. I groaned loudly and ran my hands over my face again.

"I need water," I said, throwing the covers off of my body. Jason just looked at me. I walked into the bathroom first and turned the sink on. I took water in my hands, splashed my face, then ran my hands over my hair. I looked in the mirror and shook my head. I closed the bathroom light and walked down the hallway. Jason followed me down the hallway, not saying anything, just following.

The refrigerator light gave the kitchen light, as I opened it. I grabbed the smart water on the shelf and closed the door. I turned around and took a big sip.

"I was eight, and uncle Cile was fifteen. I was little, but I knew what was wrong and what was right. And what he did, felt wrong." Jason just sat quietly. For once.

"I was in the bath the first time, and I was telling him all the things my mom would do to bathe me. And I guess he couldn't control himself. God, my family is so messed up."

"When did he actually get caught?" He asked.

"When I was almost nine," He shook his head. "I forgot about it for a while, didn't really think about it, I guess. I mean, I still trust him and everything. But he isn't allowed to touch me."

"He can't touch you?"

I nodded. "We can't hug, or anything. That was part of the deal. He would get out of jail after his five years, but if he touched me, he would go back. Because I was a minor, and still am. Once I turn eighteen, that whole thing goes away."

"I was having a dream, and then I felt someone like, slapping me."

"Sorry about that." He shook his head.

"Remember that day in detention-"

"oh, when I turned into a delinquent?"

He nodded. "I kinda saw the potential you had to be bad."

"I am not bad,"

"Oh, you are."

"Alright. At least I wasn't exchanging saliva with Sophia in the middle of the hallway."

"You weren't, but it would be really hot."

"Ew, stop."

"Mr. Bad boy who has a soft spot for kids,"

"Alright, I said that to actually get to know you."

"I highly doubt that." He shrugged and smiled.

"Who would've thought the bad boy would ever fall for the nerd?"

"Who you calling a nerd?"

"Um, you, Ms. I have to do homework for we do anything." I rolled my eyes.

"At least I do my homework."

"I do my homework. Occasionally."

I nodded. "Sure you do."

"My dad's three year anniversary is coming up next week."

"Yeah?" I nodded. "I kind of want to have my family come over for it. Like, my grandma and parents and all of them."

"I think it's a great idea."
