5. The Warning

Tamashi ran, panting as he ran into the village and jumped up and climbed up onto the village inn where the citizens were. They were chatting amongst themselves and having a good time, unaware of the danger that was coming.

“Attention please!” Tamashi yelled, but the village folk did not hear nor notice him.
“Attention please!” He spoke louder which finally got their attention and they fell quiet.
“You all are in grave danger, the Bitāzu “Biters” are coming to take back this kingdom! They have been seen at sea, heading towards us for an invasion!” Tamashi yelled out.

The village folk began to panic and scream, which made Tamashi nearly panic from a bad memory, but he took a deep breath to calm himself down before speaking once more. “Do not panic, an evacuation is being planned out. Gather your things and get ready. They will be here in three days time, the evacuation will be tomorrow so be ready by tomorrow!” He spoke, the village folk running off to their houses to gather their things.

Tamashi jumped down from the roof of the inn and landed with a thump, he looked around the now pitch black area. The only light that was in the village were a few torches and candles that lit up the area a little, Tamashi then looked back at the inn before turning and walking off back to the tree.

“The deed is done, old man.” He spoke, looking over to the stout old man.
“Good, good.” He replied, furrowing his brow.
“I need some help setting up an evacuation, I told the citizens that the evacuation is tomorrow and I'm not sure where I should take them that is safe for them. I haven't found any places nor discovered any secret places.” Tamashi said with a sigh staring at the ground.
“Now that I think about it, I know of a hidden camp that was abandoned many years ago, the Biters do not know of such a place. It was once an Orc camp that had died off many years ago, there are still tents and fire places that are still in good condition. The place is a little overgrown though, so you'll have to make a little pathway.” The old man spoke with a tired yawn, spitting on the grass, his brow ruffling.
“Where is it, exactly?” He asked, looking down at the man.
“It is south of here, past the castle and its farms. It is on the mountain side, rather overgrown with thorn bushes, weeds, moss, and other plants.”
“It seems I'll have to check it out.” Tamashi replied with a nod.
“Go now my boy! Go see for yourself save our citizens!” The old man said, a passionate fire in his eyes.

Tamashi nodded, then began to run towards the direction of the old, overgrown camp. He began to run past the castle and the farms, dodging a large windmill that was in the way, which was by a little barn that held hay and tools.

After a while he finally got close to the mountains, which was overgrown with plants, he scanned the area looking around in the darkness.

He took out his blade and began to chop at the plants and leaves to make a little pathway up towards the camp, chopping at the plants one by one as they fell to the ground. He picked up the plants and threw them aside, he kept working at it hard. Slowly, yet assuredly getting up to the camp.

After a long while of chopping at the plants and moving them aside he finally had gotten up to the camp, he stared in amazement as he looked around the camp. He could see a few tents, all of which had holes in them from harsh weathers. Tamashi then looked through some abandoned supplies, he found a needle and some animal hides.
“This should do.” Tamashi muttered to himself, he went over to some tents and began to sow the hides onto the holes in the tents.

He soon finished the tents one by one and sat down, the sky was getting lighter, it was becoming dawn. Tamashi stretched, yawning tiredly as he then made his way down the mountain, quite exhausted, but he knew he couldn't rest yet. When he got down from the mountain he broke into a run towards the village, where the whole village was asleep.

Tamashi soon slowed down to a stop once he got to the village, it was still very early in the morning. He then climbed up on top of the roof of the inn and sat down and closed his eyes to rest them for a bit. Soon after a bit of time had passed he awoke to the village folk talking and heading towards the inn.

Tamashi stood up and looked down at the village folk ready to leave, some had wagons with horses hooked to them. Others had just a few items which they put inside the wagons, he smiled as he watched them for a moment before speaking. “Quiet down now, we are now ready for evacuation. It will be a long and difficult trail, be warned.” He spoke, looking over to where the southern mountains were. “Now, let us head out.” He said jumping down from the inn.

He began to walk towards the southern mountains where the camp was as the villagers followed, they walked miles as the villagers talked with their buddies but Tamashi stayed silent. He wasn't known for much conversation, nor did he like talking as much he preferred to keep himself more unknown.

After a few more miles of walking they reached the top of the mountains, they began walking up it while other men helped push the wagons up some of the pathways. Tamashi helped with a wagon as well as he struggled to help get the wagon up. Finally they managed to get the wagon up onto the camp, he waited for the rest of the wagons to get up the mountain.

By the time everyone got up onto the mountain it was dusk. Tamashi looked at them and sighed in relief that they were all finally evacuated and safe. “Pick your tents and set up.” He spoke calmly, before walking off onto a ledge to sit on.

He watched the sun begin to set as he gave a yawn, he was quite tired from all of the hard work and traveling. His stomach growled, he got up and went by a fire where a group of people were cooking meats and roasting some vegetables. He watched the people, making sure they were all set up and situated before going back to the ledge. Tamashi took out an apple from one of his bags and pulled down his mask again and began to eat it while covering his face in case someone saw it, then began to eat it hungrily.

Tamashi soon finished the apple, then quickly pulled his mask back up, looking at the night sky, the stars shined and sparkled in the sky which complimented the night sky along with the brightness of the moon shining down on the area. He smiled feeling quite peaceful. He noticed people begin to turn in for the night, he went to an abandoned part of the camp and lit his own fire. He then made sure the tent was in good condition before laying down inside the tent and watching the fire, he kept watching the fire until he soon drifted off to sleep.
