From a willow tree

1. From a willow tree

From the willow tree, set to be flying free,
A old man is swinging in the wind,
On a grassy path, lines of many names,
A little girl is crying, eyes of grief and pain,
Carved upon a rock, a few words here and there,
A flower laid to rest, beauty in despair,
Placed up on the fireplace, a dusty frame,
A teenage girl skims it by, feel like the one to blame,
High on the hilltop, a lonely tree blows,
A endless reminder that life comes and goes.
