1. Chapter One

“Isn’t he just the cutest little baby ever?!” Ruby exclaimed, shoving her phone into my face. I groaned, glancing at Louis Tomlinson holding his baby boy. I smiled and nodded. “Yeah, little Freddie sure is adorable.” Ruby rolled her eyes and shoved her phone into her jacket pocket.

“Briana sure is lucky. I’d kill to be Louis Tomlinson’s baby mama.” She said, leaning against the railing on the boat we’re on. Ruby glanced up and squealed, pointing upward to the night sky. “Look Harper! A shooting star! Quick, make a wish!”  I looked beside me to see Ruby bow her head, I followed her lead and closed my eyes.

All of a sudden, the boat started rocking. I opened my eyes in alert. I looked over to my left to see nothing. I looked around my in fear. “Ruby!” I yelled out, my eyes searching frantically for my best friend. I then felt something hard hit me on the head, I lost my footing and then collapsed, letting the darkness consume me.

            Beep. Beep. Beep.

I slowly opened my eyes, cringing at the bright lights above me. I began to sit up, only to be pushed back down on the bed I was laying on.

“Don’t push yourself to hard, love, you only just woke up.” I heard a familiar British accent to my left say. I glanced over to see a tall figure standing by the bed. I looked up to see the face, but I could hardly see them.

“W-Where am I?” I managed to say. The figure patted my hand, crouching down to my line of vision, I could see them now. My eyes widen, mouth parting, as I finally realized who was right beside me. Louis Tomlinson. He’s hair was covered by his signature beany. He wore a blue jean jacket with a white shirt underneath.

“You’re in the hospital, you took quite a fall. The doctors said you’ll be fine, you just need some rest. You should really be careful next time, Bri.” Louis said, smiling softly. I shook my head in shock, I jerked my hand out of his grasp and moved away from him. He frowned, giving me a confused look.

“What’s wrong, Bri? Why do you look so frightened?” He said,

“You’re not real. I’m not supposed to be here, wherever I am. I-I’m not Briana. My name’s Harper.” I said, running my hands through my hair in confusion. Louis cocked an eyebrow. “No, your name isn’t Harper, its Briana. Did you hit your head when you fell? You know what, I should go get the doctor, I’ll be right back, love.” And with that he left the room.

There’s no way my wish came true, I must be dreaming. A few moments later, Louis returned with the doctor. The doctor looked to be around thirty, pretty young for a doctor. His blond hair was combed back and his green eyes were shimmering in the sunlight. He smiled down at me. “Good morning, Miss Jungwirth. I’m Dr. Bruhn. How are you feeling?”

“I have a slight headache, but other than that, I’m really hungry.” I said honestly. Dr. Bruhn chuckled. “I’ll have the nurse bring up some food. Now, if you excuse me, I have other patients to assist to. Good day.” He said, before exiting the door. Louis walked over to my side, sitting in the chair.

“Are you sure you’re feeling alright?” He said, breaking the silence. I glanced over at him and nodded slowly. It was hard to look at him. I couldn’t believe the Louis Tomlinson was sitting next to me.

“How did I end up here?” I asked. He looked up at me and sighed. “I was coming to see Freddie. I found you lying on the floor in the nursey, I was worried about you. You’ve been in coma for almost a week. The doctors say it’s because you haven’t been eating right the past couple of weeks. I-“ He was interrupted by a phone going off. He reached into his jacket pocket to pull out his phone, he answered it.

“Hey Dani.” He instantly pulled the phone away from his ear as he winced at the yelling person on the other side of the phone. “I forgot! I’m sorry, I’ve been busy lately.” He glanced at me before averting his attention to the floor. “I’ll be there soon. Love you.” He placed the phone back into his pocket and stood up.

“I have to go. I’ll have one of the boys take you home. I’ll see you later, Bri.” He said, before exiting the room.

I let out a breath and clenched the bedsheets.

I heard the door open, I glanced over to see the nurse. She smiled at me and brought a tray of what I would presume had food on it. She placed the tray on the table and turned to me. “Do you need anything else?”

“I need to use the restroom.” I said. She nodded. After she got everything unhooked, she helped me get out of bed and we headed towards the restroom. I closed the door and quickly went over to the mirror. I looked up and my eyes widen. The person staring back at me wasn’t me, it truly was Briana. I began to hyperventilate.

“T-There’s no way. This is all a dream. I can’t be Briana Jungwirth.” I clenched my head as a wave of head pangs erupted in my head. I soon found myself crumbling to the ground.
