Loving or Lying

A girl. Broken from the outside in. The world around her, confusing and large, yet suffocating and small.

A boy. With no meaning in life. And so close to giving up, due to one situation after another, always so disappointing to his eyes.

What will happen to these two broken people.
And can two halves make a whole?

9. Chapter 9

*April's POV*

The endless icy blue seemed to go on continually as I stared at him incredulously. As I observed, he seemed to be wearing the same clothes since yesterday and had dark heavy circles forming around his eye lids. They seemed almost ready to close as he squinted at me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked shyly, wondering why he had chosen to sit in the same place we had sat in mutual silence, not 24 hours ago.
" Because I wanted to talk to you." He replied while burying his nose into his book, which might I add, was a child's book. "Have you been following me?" I asked. The presence of someone had been nagging at me all day and I had been wondering who it was. He seemed the most likely person in my mind, no doubt. "Well, depends on how you define following," he replied, his previous grin returning to his features once more.
"I also noticed how a note from my fridge happened to go missing this morning after you uninvitedly ate breakfast in my house." The note with my schedule on, briefly flashed through my mind. Things were now becoming a lot clearer.
"I know it was you."  I said, not even trying to mask the anger evident in my voice. "You were the one following me! You took my schedule, knowing what I had today and followed me to my job and then finally here." I couldn't believe he would go to such lengths to follow me! Who was he? What did he want from me? His face, once again, was unwavering as I practically fumed at him.
"What good reason would you have to follow me?" I asked, trying not to let his cocky grin get to me. He stood up from his place on the floor; he was a good few inches taller than me and part of his fringe hung messily over his forehead. His gaze seemed to stare right into my soul as he uttered words I was not expecting.
"Because I'm interested in you."
