1. The New Dancer

She rises from the stars, straight from above.

Her hair is pure gold, glinting in the night.

She jumps and dances, twirling through the night.

Her leap so graceful, almost like a dove.

 

She spreads her arms, looking up to the light.

As she prepares to fly.

She is now in the sky, soaring high.

The leaps over, she comes back to the night.

 

Her body so tired; aching and worn.

Yet she wants to practice more on the floor.

She hopes it will lead to many open doors.

Where her dazzling new talent will be born.
