31. Chapter Thirty

Ashley's POV

"So, are you going?" Henry asked. "I haven't decided yet." I replied. "Oh, come on Ashley. Can't you see he's trying to make a difference for you? He's trying, Ashley. And you're sitting here acting like a child." He snapped. I looked at him.

"I don't want the kids to get a happy seeing us together, and thinking it'll be all fine and dandy." I said. "You don't want the kids to think that, or yourself?" He asked. I sighed, and looked at the tickets on the fridge.

"Just go, and have fun." He said. "I don't know, Henry." I sighed. "Ashley, go. Take your children to see their father." He said. I huffed, and put my head on the counter.

"You're going." He said, slapping the tickets down on the counter. "Excuse me?" I asked, eyeing him down. "You are going to see your damn husband perform. If you don't, I will drag you out of this damn house by your hair." He said.

I took the tickets in my grasp, and looked at them. I took a deep breath, and sighed. "Backstage passes." I said. He smirked, and nodded. "That's what I thought."

I held onto Jackie's hand, as we walked through the doors of the arena. Nicole was pushing Bryant's stroller, with both hands, not bothering anyone.

"Are you excited?" I asked, walking next to Jackie. "I just want to see dad." She replied, looking around. "He's in the back." I replied, showing the security guard my backstage pass. He nodded at me, and let us through.

"Mommy, Bry wants to get out." Nicole said, turning to me. "Alright, unbuckle him." I replied. She walked to the front of the stroller, and unbuckled Bryant.

He walked to me, and hugged my legs. "Someone is tired." I said, letting go of Jackie's hand, and picking Bryant up. He put his head on my shoulder, his nose tickling my neck a little.

"Jackie, take your sister and find dad or one of the guys." I ordered. She nodded, and took Nicole's hand in hers. "Nicole, stay with Jack." I said. She nodded.

I rubbed Bryant's back, and walked slowly behind the girls, as they turned their heads side to side.

"Mom." Jackie called. I walked to them, and looked at the door in front of them. "Well? Go in. I can hear dad already." I smiled. Jackie pushed the door opened, and walked in, making the door slam closed.

I opened the door, and stepped in, seeing Jackie and Nicole standing there with wide eyes. "Go." I said, pushing her further into the room.

"Daddy!" Nicole screamed, running to Ashton. He turned around quickly, and got pushed back as Nicole slammed into him.

He hugged Jackie, then looked at me. "Hey." He said, looking at his feet. "Hey." I replied, keeping my hand on Bryant's back.

"I wanted to talk to you about something." Ashton informed, as Bryant moved his head. He picked his head up, and looked around. "Hi, baby." I smiled, as he looked at me. He rubbed his eyes, and put his head back on my shoulder.

"Look who's here bud." I smiled, turning around so Bryant could see Ashton. "Daddy." Bryant whispered. I smiled, and turned back, giving him to his father.

"Haven't seen you all in weeks, and I don't even get a high?" I asked, looking at the other three boys behind Ashton. They all looked at me, then to each other.

"Am I that bad of a person?" I asked. "No, no you're not." Ashton replied. "No one is talking to me now?" I asked. "No, they're just shocked that you actually showed." Ashton spoke.

I pulled Ashton aside, and held his wrist in my hand. "Why won't they talk to me?" I asked. "Don't worry about them." He replied. "That didn't answer my question." I said. "Because they are... Well, to put it lightly, surprised that this is all happening." He replied.

"Ashton, we talked about this." I sighed. "I know, and I told them. But they refuse to think that it's actually happening." He replied. "None of us want it to happen, but sometimes the best has to come to an end." I replied. He sighed, and nodded.

"Just... Enjoy the show, yeah? Don't worry about them. Or about anyone else. Just enjoy it like old times." He said, touching my hand.

I still get those tingles, like when I first got when I started to date Ashton. Those butterflies, and the tingles whenever he touches me.

"Hello California!" Michael yelled. The crowd screamed, as Nicole covered her ears, trying to block out the noise. I held Bryant in my arms, as he looked at the stage with his blue big giant ear phones on, blocking the sounds from his sensitive ears.

"Thank you for listening to us for the past thirty minutes! Ashton, no one left!" He yelled. "I know. Except if you got to use the bathroom." Ashton replied.

"Scream if you know San Fransisco!." Michael said. Almost the whole screamed. "Scream if you downloaded the song." He said. One person screamed. "Wow. How awesome." He said sarcastically.

"Anyway." Ashton spoke. "Lots of you know what's been going on lately. Specifically with me." He said. I looked down. "Well, someone special is here tonight. And I want to express myself to her. Using this song. We have written about our relationships and about breakups. And well... This one is about both." He said. "Here we go." He finished. I took a deep breath, and held Jackie by her stomach.
