1. Chapter One

Ashton's POV

"Lets go. Lets go." I yelled up the stairs. "Coming dad!" Jackie yelled, running down the stairs. "Where's Lauren?" I asked. "Oh, um... I don't know." She replied. "Sure you don't. Lauren, come on!" I yelled. "Damn, I'm coming!" She yelled, walking down the stairs. I huffed, and walked into the kitchen.

"Peanut butter and jam sandwich for my little girl." I smiled, handing her a brown paper bag. "Thanks dad." She smiled. "Now, I don't have lunch for you." I said. "Ashley told you about lunch money. I don't eat lunch from home anymore." Lauren replied. "Now, I am giving you twenty dollars, do not spend it on anything else other than lunch, yes?" I said. "Yes, now give me the damn money." She snapped.

"Jackie, come on, the bus is here." Lauren said. "Bye dad!" Jackie smiled, kissing my cheek. "Bye bug, see you when you come home. Lauren, watch out for her, please!" I yelled. "Yeah, yeah." Lauren replied, waving her hand at me. "Have a good day! Love you!" I yelled. "Love you too dad!" Jackie yelled, slamming the door behind her.

"Daddy." Nicole said. "Hey princess, what can I get you?" I asked. "Princess needs food. And as my prince, you should get me some." She said. I laughed, and opened the fridge. "What should your prince make?" I asked. "Your princess wants... eggs." She smiled. "Coming right up, Princess Nikki." I said. She giggled, and ran to the couch.

"Move." She said to Bryant. "No." He mumbled. "Move, please?" She asked. "No." He replied. "Bryant, move over a little, please?" I asked. "No." He said. I sighed, and walked over to the couch. I picked up Bryant, and carried him into the kitchen.

"How about we see mummy today?" I asked. "I like the idea!" Nicole yelled from the living room. Bryant nodded his head, and clapped his hands. "Now, go back and sit down, and this time, be nice." I said. Bryant nodded, and ran into the living room.

"Mr. Irwin, hi." The receptionist at Ashley's work smiled. "Hi, Lydia. Is Ashley available?" I asked. "Let me check her schedule. I'll let you know in a second." She replied with a smile. I nodded, and looked behind me, seeing Nicole and Bryant playing with each other's hair. You would think a five and two year old would hate each other, not do each other's hair. "She's available. I'll let her know you're coming. Have a great day." She smiled. "You too." I replied, taking Bryant and Nicole's hands in mine.

I knocked on Ashley's office door, and walked in. "Hey, I got a call from Lydia, I was wondering who was here." She smiled, showing her flawless white teeth. She got out of her seat, and fixed her dress. "How is my little princess?" She asked, kissing Nicole's forehead. "Princess is good. My prince made eggs today." Nicole said. "Did he? And how's my knight?" She smiled, picking up Bryant. He giggled, and played with her necklace.

"So, why are you here exactly? Not that I don't mind, but, why?" She asked. I laughed, and let the kids go play with the blocks in the corner of the office. "Well, I wanted to talk to you about something, but I didn't think this would be the best place." I said. "Tour again?" She asked. "No, no." I replied. She nodded.

"Babe, why can't we get his hair cut?" I asked. "Ashton." She sighed. "Babe, it's so long, look at it. And it's dark hair, it needs to be cut." I said. "I'll think about it, okay? I don't trust people with his hair. Remember the first time? We ended up in the hospital." She said. "That was because you let Henry do it. You can never trust that man with anything." I replied. She laughed, and rolled her eyes.

"I'm leaving in about an hour, do you want to stay here, or go home?" Ashley asked. I shrugged, and sat in the chair. "Luke called me today." She said. "Really?" I asked. She nodded. "About?" I asked. "Something about Gina being sick. He said she's throwing up, and sweating. He asked if he should do something about it. And I told him to run an ice bath." She replied. "No one comes to me for baby advice. I feel left out." I laughed. She rolled her eyes, and smiled.

"How's the studio?" She asked. "I think it's good. The guys are coming soon, and we're going to record a few songs in the studio. They don't have a place to stay though." I said. "Ashton." She sighed. "I know, there's not enough room, but there could be." I replied. "I am not putting Michael and Jackie in the same room, and the same bed. No. And I am not letting Calum and Nicole in the same bed. After all the shi-" "Bad word mummy!" Nicole yelled, before Ashley could finish. She closed her eyes.

"After all the crap we got when she was born, about her looking like Calum... I don't want them in the same bed, nor the same room. No. And Luke and Lauren, no. I don't like that idea, and I never did." She said. "But, they have no where to stay." I argued. "Ashton, not now, okay? Please? Not at work, okay? I'll... make some calls, and see if I can set them up in a hotel close to the house or something. Okay? But please, don't argue with me right now." She sighed. I nodded, and held her hand. "I love you, you know that?" I asked. She nodded, and smiled. "Of course I know that, I love you too." She replied.

"Mum, you're home!" Jackie yelled, running into the house. Lauren followed with her.... boyfriend behind her. "We'll be upstairs!" She called, before running up the stairs. "Leave the door open, please!" Ashley yelled up after her. "I don't like him." I said. "Please, you don't like any boy she brings home." She replied. "She's my little sister, I'm not supposed to." I replied. She rolled her eyes.

"Mum, some girls were being mean again." Jackie said, sitting next to Ashley on the couch. "Again? Baby, what did I say to do." She sighed. "I tried to tell Lauren, but she didn't do anything." Jackie replied. I sighed, and walked to the stairs. "What happened baby?" Ashley asked, doing her weird mother skills.

In my opinion, Ashley is an amazing woman. Every morning, she gets up at four thirty in the morning, leaves the house by five thirty for work. Works ten hours at work, comes home at three forty five, helps Jackie and Lauren with their homework, make dinner, deal with Jackie and her bullies, lay her clothes out for the next day, then puts Bryant and Nicole to bed, and then she has to deal with me. She's an amazing woman, just dealing with Bryant and Nicole all day, but she has to do everything, and it's truly amazing.

"Hey Laure?" I asked, knocking on her door. "Yeah?" She asked. I opened her door, seeing her doing homework, with Jack laying on the bed. "What happened with Jackie at school today?" I asked. "Oh, some girls were making fun of her." She replied. "Laure, we talked about this. You have to look out for her. She's not used to this stuff yet." I sighed. "I know, and I'm sorry. I'm going to try to be better with her, I really am." She replied. "She looks up to you, you know." I said. "I knew that since I moved in with you." She laughed. I rolled my eyes.

"Jack, are you staying for dinner?" I asked. "Yes, sir." He replied, sitting up, and looking at me. He's not.. so bad. "Okay, I hope you like Ashley's cooking." I laughed. "It's really good, don't listen to him. He's being the annoying brother." Lauren informed. Jack laughed, and stood up. "Can I talk to you?" He asked me. I nodded, and led him out of the room.

"What's going on?" I asked him. "Sir-" "Before you begin, Jack, no one calls me sir. Call me Ashton." I cut him off. "Ashton, I really appreciate you letting me come here after school. It's great coming to a home without fighting." He said. "Jack, Ashley and I told you, whenever you feel like getting away, come over. We all like you. You're a great kid." I replied. "Thank you." He smiled. "And you have a lovely house. And you have a lovely family." He smiled. I smiled back, and put my hand on his shoulder. "Now, if I hear anything, and I mean anything coming from my sister's room... I will come up there, and kick you out. Understood?" I asked. "We're not there yet. We're both young, and we want to know each other, before we say all those crazy things, and do all the crazy things." He said. My eyes widened. Wow.

"Alright, bed time." I said, picking up a sleeping Nicole. "No, Princess wants to stay awake." She mumbled. "Well, Princess Nikki needs to sleep." I replied. "No. I demand..." She stopped talking, and fell back to sleep. "Daddy strikes again." I whispered, kissing her head.

First chapter to Ash&Ash! How did you like it! I've been wanting to do this for a while, but I never got to it. I really hope you all like this book, just as much as the others. Now, this one will be a little different. So, I'm going to kind of explain why it's going to be different.

>Ashley has grown up a lot more over the past two years. She doesn't like to start fights with anyone, and she doesn't like to fight in front of people.

>Ashton is more or less a stay at home dad. When he is at the studio, he takes Bryant and Nicole to Daycare

>The guys(Luke, Calum, Michael) don't usually visit, because they're either in California or Australia.

>Ashley doesn't like when Calum and Nicole go out together when they visit, because of everything that happened when Nicole was first born.
