17. Chapter 16 - What happens after the convenient encounter

Oopsith, I poisonith thy wrongith sandwitch-ith. - Child of William Blake

Now we have clearly had the only occasion for plot convenience to happen, and it didn’t. I realised that fact exactly 33 and a half seconds after John had run off down the street, and there was me hoping that something convenient for the plot would happen just like that. Despite this complete failure, I decided on a backup plan. Steel Yamada's passport and head for the airport. Jamada didn’t seem too happy when I found his passport and walked off, but he was only shouting at me in japanese and being at the age of 7 I just kicked him in the face which was about the high of my knee because he was also a dwarf. I however didn’t notice the security camera placed around 20 meters away down the road. This would resolve itself as a veritable plot point later on in the story but as I said, I didn’t notice it at the time. So I again used my I-Mobile telephone to contact british airways and buy a ticket home. I did so using Yamada's parents credit card, and Yamada's passport. Jamada himself was still unconscious on the floor so who cared, considering he is a sub-character. After about an hour of being on hold listening to some lovely japanese music, I finally got through to an english speaking person and booked my ticket. The next plane which happened to be the plane I booked tickets for would be leaving from Tokyo Airport in just under 3 hours, which gives me just under 2 and a quarter hours to have some breakfast, and then just under 15 minutes for me to get to the airport. These ratios might need to change but that's the plan anyway. First, to find some breakfast!
