Why the rain makes me cry

The rain. You wont see them. All of it gets washed way. Too much of it gets washed away. I don't need him. Or anybody. I love nobody and nobody loves me. I'm treated like a monster. The rain is my only friend. The tears and the rain mmix together so you can never see them.

9. Dinner

(Amara's) POV

I can't wait. In a couple of day we will know if Rhain is really our daughter! "Oliver. what do we do if Rhain won't open up to us? What if she endures too much pain and completely shut us out?" I asked worriedly.. "We will give her more rules." he said. "what if she will leave us if she doesn't like the rules? What if these rules are to hard to follow?" I asked. "We will add and remove rules when time goes by. Remember." he said. We got to the house and all entered. "Can I go for a walk?" asked Rhain. I turned to face her. "No." said my husband. "Wait! What her means is that I need your help in the kitchen. Isn't that right?" I said elbowing Oliver. "Oww. Yeah. Ok. Go help you mom with lunch." he said. I froze at his statement. He seemed to realize what he said. "Yeah. Ok." whispered Rhain suddenly and quickly walked in the kitchen. "Rhain? What's wrong?" I asked entering the kitchen. "It's just that I've never had a mother before. I guess I'm not used to having parents that will love me." she whispered. "Oh. Honey it's ok. You just need tie to adjust. That's all." I and hugged her. She stiffened. "Yeah. I just need to adjust." she said and coughed. She was violently coughing and couldn't stop. She fell down. "Oliver!" I cried out and quickly grabbed Rhain's hand. It was covered in blood and she was still coughing. "OLIVER!" I screeched at the sight of her blood. "What? What going on?!" asked Oliver running in. "She needs help! We need to do something!" I said crying.

"Calm down. It's ok. She will stop. It's fine. Shhh." he said holding me. I just sat there holding Rhain's bloodied hand. "Come on. Rhain you need to stop coughing. Please." I whispered. She was whimpering in-between coughs. She was gasping and clutching her throat. I quickly got up and grabbed a bottled water. I handed it to her. She quickly opened it and started to guzzle it down. She was still coughing but it was lessening until she finally stopped. She was panting. I was patting her back. "It's ok. You'll be fine." I said to her. She stood up. "I'm going to bed." she said and walked to the stairs. "Rhain wait." I said following her up the stairs. She ran into her bedroom and ducked under the covers. "you're probably disgusted. I don't blame you. You probably want me to leave." she whispered. "No that's no it. That's not it at all. I want you. I want you to stay here. With me. I want you to be my daughter and me be your mother." I said. Her head peaked out of the covers. "It that true?" she asked. Oliver then came up. "Yes. That's true. We want you to stay here with us so we can be a family. We want you Rhain. We want to love you, to treasure you, to always be with you." he said. I nodded. Rhain's eyes watered. "R-really?" she asked. "Yes. Every single word is true." I said. She lunged out of the bed and hugged be. She was crying. "You don't know how long I've longed somebody to tell me those words. For 14 long years! I've wanted to be loved and treasured. I always want to be loved. I don't want to be forgotten. I don't want to be alone!" she sobbed into my chest. "Shh. It's ok no. We are here for you now." I said hugging her. She hugged my back.

(Oliver's) POV

I watched the two girls hug each other crying. "Come here." I said hugging both of them. "You will never be alone. No matter what. Never again." I said to Rhain. "Oh. Daddy!" she cried hugging me. I was shocked but it soon passed. "It's ok." I said hugging her back. She cried herself to sleep. I layed her down on the bed. "Oliver. I'm attached to her already." said Amara. I looked over at our daughter. Her hair surrounded her head spread out like a halo. "Me too." I said and tucked her in. "Come on. Let's go and eat. We will start to get her to eat. It will be slow but she will  eat again." I said directing Amara out of the room letting Rhain sleep. We made some lunch and ate. After about hours it was dinner time. I walked up to Rhain's room. "We will have to make this room to fit her." I thought as I gently woke her up. "mm." said Rhain as she woke. "Well go to see you up sleepy head." I said. She smiled faintly that I could barely see it. "come on it's dinner time. I want you to try and eat." I said picking her up. She nodded slowly. I slowly made my way down with Rhain in my arms as we headed to the dinner table. I set her in a chair with some food on it. She eyed it and looked back at us. "Go and eat." said Amara as she started to eat. I nodded at the girl and started to eat also. She nodded back at me and took a spoonful of food. She started to swallow. A second after she ran to the bathroom and I could hear her throwing up. I quickly followed her. "It's ok. We will start of slow and work our was back up." I said soothing her. "Just face it. I'm never going to eat ever again." she muttered wiping her face. "Don't say that I said. She walked out of the bathroom and back up the stairs. "We will call you when it is family time!" yelled Amara at Rhain. "Ok." I could faintly hear. We nodded and ate.
