2. School Mornings

Samanthas's POV

I was awaken by the horrible beeping of my 'vintage' alarm. My arm started moving by instinct and slapped the alarm clock to the floor. I rose out of my bed with a groan and felt like a zombie. My family made me go to sleep early because they know I get moody in the mornings and knowing that today I have to go to school today makes me cranky. Obviously sleeping didn't help. I got up and walked to my closet when I remembered that the school I was going to has a uniform.

"UGH!" I said with a voice that sounded like the dead had risen

I hate uniforms they ruin your imagination and crush your dreams. I wasn't really sure if that was me talking or the crankiness. I then walked to the bathroom to go change. I instantly regretted opening the door that lead me to my makeup and my everyday utensils. In front of me was my younger brother Austin dancing to Panic! at the disco's "The Ballad Of Mona Lisa" in just his Superhero underwear.

"GET OUT AUSTIN!" I shouted

"The only way i'll get out is if you do my chores for the week"

I was sick of his games. Every week he comes in my room with demands, but this time I wasn't going to put up with it. I walked up to him and dragged him out of the bathroom and slammed the door. After I Austin proofed the room I brushed my teeth, brushed my hair, and put and little of eyeliner and mascara on. I checked myself in the mirror and then headed out the door. I really do make this uniform work. My brother had already beat me to the pile of pancakes in the middle of the kitchen island downstairs. I grabbed a plate from the cupboard and got three of the biggest pancakes left.

"Good morning sweetie, how did you sleep." My mother said with the sweetest voice possible

"It was going great till Austin took over my bathroom." I said while giving Austin a glare from across the table

"Oh sweetie, don't be like that. You know he just wants to hang out with his sister."

I was about to take a bite of my pancakes when I stopped in my tracks and stared at her in disbelief. Did she seriously just say that. I tell her every time he pulls a stunt like this. I just decided to drop it and said

"Whatever."

"Now hurry up and finish or you're not going to make it by the bell." She said

I finished my pancakes and put my plate in the sink. I grabbed my bag from the seat next to me and started walking to my moms car. Here I come Norwest Christian College.
