He was looking for something he didn't know existed.
She was looking for someone to fix her.
Maybe together they could help each other along breaking rules after rules.

3. CHAPTER TWO - Holy Shit

It was not going the way it was supposed to go this morning. I was hungover but I couldn't show it to my dads. If they ever found out I drank last night, they would kill me, so I was doing my best not to snap at them in the morning at the table with Ely. Ely was lucky, he didn't drink any alcohol other than the first drink we got together and then he just drank water instead because we both knew that I couldn't control my drinking sometimes. I was thankful Ely was here with me otherwise I wouldn't have the control to shut up about how I was feeling.

“So did you guys have fun last night? We never heard you guys coming home.” Daddy G asked and drank his coffee and looked at the newspaper in his hands. I looked over at Ely and gave him the signal to talk.

“Yeah it was good to see some of the guys again.” He said with a smile and commented on the cinnamon rolls Daddy N had baked this morning.

“I need this recipe! Nothing beats a good old Peterson rolls in the morning.” Ely said and grabbed his fourth roll, I chuckled and shook my head.

“When does school start?” Daddy G asked looking at me.

“Uh nine?” I said and sound unsure about it but thankfully Ely saved me saying it starts at half nine.

“Maybe you should think about changing into something else thank your pajamas.” Daddy G said and closed the newspaper, folded it and placed it on the table.

“Yeah that sounds like a good idea. Ely have you gotten your schedule yet?” I asked and took a sip of my lemon water, Ely shook his head.

“No. We get them today. I’ve heard there's a few new teachers, please let it be someone who is actually good looking and not like mr. Jefferson and hi ass crack hanging out.” Ely said with a smile and I shook my head when the picture of Mr. Jefferson and his ass crack came up.

“Maybe it's the love of my life.” I joked and sighed when I looked out of the window.

“What are you talking about, you've already met the love of your life.” Daddy N said and I immediately looked at Ely with a stern look. Did my dad know about Eric? And if he did how did he get that information?

Both of my dads started screaming with laughter. “You should see the looks on your faces! We all know Ely is the love of your life.” Daddy G laughed and I let out a fake chuckle and gave Ely a look.

“Yeah, you will never lose me honey.” Ely joked, I laughed when he kissed me on my cheek.

“Should we go and change?” I asked and when Ely agreed, I gave both of my dads a kiss on their cheeks, thanked them for the breakfast and Ely and I began walking out of he house and over to my bedroom.

“That was close.” Ely said when he closed the door to my room.

“You didn't tell them anything, right?” I asked just to be sure even though I knew he would never do that to me.

“No I would never to that! We made a pact and none of us are going to break it unless it's about life and death or something near that.” He said an looked serious, I nodded and gave him a hug and thanked him. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened last night or well this morning.

I didn't mind school really, I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. And as for as long as I remember I had most of my classes with Ely so that was always a plus on the list. But today I didn't like school at all. Ely and I had gotten our schedule for our classes and we only had PE together and lunch at the same time.

“This was supposed to be our year and now it's not gonna be.” I sighed and felt like my heart was as heavy as rocks.

“It is going to be our year, I promise! And when we spend time together it's going to be more special.” Ely said and reached out for a hug, he was right.

“I love you, you know that right?” I said and looked up at Ely.

“What's not to love about me.” He grinned and I gave him a serious face. “You've told me a couple of times yes. I love you too. But we really have to go if we want to get good seats in the cafeteria, so let's go.” I sighed knowing Ely was right and we started to head over to the cafeteria to find a decent spot to sit and eat.

The rest of the week had surprisingly gone smooth so far, classes weren't the same anymore when I didn't have Ely by my side but I knew a few people in the different classes I took so it wasn't as bad as I thought. Today was Thursday and I was really excited to finally have a class with Ely and that was PE but I was also pretty excited to have my first class of History and especially when people were talking about the new History teacher, all of the people I had talked to told me he was really good and very passionate about history. Plus the girls who I had talked to told me that he was probably the hottest teachers we have had in school, so I was looking forward to that. But I just could not stop thinking about Eric, whenever I was in class and our teacher was telling us a story or teaching us something at the chalk board, I would zone out and think about him and when we were at the park. It made me sad to think that I would never see him again.

“Have you had any of the new teachers yet?” I asked Ely on our way to school on the bus, he shook his head and sighed.

“Nope, the only new teacher I have is the PE teacher. I have Mr. Jefferson and his ass crack is still hanging out. You're lucky you don't have him anymore.” He sighed and I laughed at his face.

"I just hope the new teacher is as good as people say he is.” I said looking out the window as the bus passed the park.

The park. The last time I would ever see Eric again.

“Don’t.” Ely said and I looked over at his with a confusing face. “You're thinking about him. Don't. If you don't think about him, you’ll forget it soon.” He added.

“How did you kno-“ I started saying but Ely cut me off. “I’ve known you since I could remember and I know you can't stop thinking about him, but he was just a guy, there will be a hundred of those in the future so don't think about the past. I promise you will never see him again.”

"You know what, I have a new name for you, ‘Ely, the guy who never has a relationship with anyone and always comes with advice about love.’” I laughed, “how do you do that? It's like you have super powers.” I said walking out of the bus looking back at Ely when he laughed and said he couldn't help it.

“You should have a mail box at the school and everyone who has troubles with guys or girls should write to you and a few of your answers would be in the school paper.” I said when we walked into the hallway and over to our lockers. Thankfully Ely and I had lockers close to each other.

“I’ll think of that.” He said and opened his locker as did I and took my history book out and a #2 pencil along with a notebook for notes and then placed my backpack in the locker.

“Where are you going?” Ely asked looking at my schedule after taking his Biology book from his locker and a few lined piece of papers and a pen. “401, lucky you I have biology in the same hall as you. I’ll walk you to class.” He said closing my locker and entwined our arms together and we walked side by side together to my classroom.

"Remember that time we had history together and we weren't allowed to sit next to each other because you would whisper the answers to me when I didn't know them, that was the golden days.” Ely laughed when we turned the corner in the hallway and passed a few freshmen who looked scared and confused because they couldn't find the way to their classrooms, I felt the pain with them I remember when it was me and Ely and how many times we were late because the school was so big and it was hard to get to your locker and then get to class in time and find the right classroom, oh the times we walked in the wrong classroom.

“Here we are my lady, I hope you will have a great history lesson while I will die over and over again in Biology.” Ely said and slipped my arm and bowed down trying to imitate a butler.

“Why thank you my lovely butler, what a gentleman you are.” I said and tried to speak with a British accent but failed completely and laughed.

“When am I not a gentleman?” He asked with a disappointed voice when the bell rang,

“You’re always a gentleman. I really need to go and so do you, see you after the period.” I said, kissed his left cheek and walked fast in to the almost filled classroom, quickly I took an empty seat in the back of the classroom and quickly placed my book, pencil and notebook on the table which resulted in the pencil to fall down on the ground, what seemed to be like a hundred years I reached down for my pencil as the teacher began to speak.

“Good morning everyone, I am Eric Kydd but you can call me either of those  and we will have the enjoyment of having history together this semester and hopefully the next semester.” The teacher said with a deep voice that only reminded me of one special person. Quickly I looked up and my eyes went from small to big as tea cups.

No way, no fucking way. This couldn't happen.

“Holy shit.” I said out loud and everyone turned around and looked at me and so did Eric, my new history teacher. I couldn't stop looking at Eric, there he was in a white pressed shirt, a black tie, a dark navy blue cardigan and a pair of reddish brown pants. Eric looked at me and it was first a few seconds after he realized who I was and then his eyes turned as huge as mine.

“I don't tolerate that language in my classroom…..” Eric paused for a moment.

“It's Louisa.” I said still shocked he was standing right in front of me when I through that I would never see him again, I was in deep shit. This could really not happen.

“Well miss Louisa, I don't tolerate that language in my class.” Rich said with a stone hard look on his face. “Understood?” I nodded quickly and looked down on my desk and began fiddling with my fingers and my ring from my grand mother.

“Now that we got that sorted out, I would like to hear what you either like or dislike about history and your names. We’ll start in the back.” He said and looked at the guy sitting beside me.

“I'm Lucas and I don’t really like history, I think it's boring.” He said and a few students chuckled at his answer. Eric nodded and commented that not everyone think that history is interesting and then looked at me waiting for me to say anything.

“I like that there's a history behind everything in the world and I think it's interesting to see how we were hundreds of years ago and how we’ve evolved from that. And I'm Louisa.” I said looking at Eric and his eyes.

”Next.” He said still looking at me and only looked away when the girl beside me started talking, this class couldn't go any faster, I was sure that if I ever ended up in hell it would be much better than history with Eric.

After everyone told Eric what they liked or disliked about history, Eric started talking about the different stuff we would go through this semester but I didn't listen to what he said, either I was staring at him and closing every possible sound away or I was doodling in my notebook and still not listening to anything. But class ended quicker than I had thought it would. And as I was collecting my stuff Eric mentioned my name.

“Louisa can you please stay for a minute or two, I would like to talk to you.” He said and I looked up a little confused but nodded and said bye to Elizabeth who I knew in class.

“Yo, Lou you coming?” A voice yelled back at me that sounded like Ely, I looked back and saw Ely stand in the doorway waiting for me.

"I- uhh....” I began talking but didn't know what to say and looked at Ely and then back at Eric.

“I need to talk to Louisa for a minute, Ely.” Eric said and I looked at Ely and that's when he saw Eric and his eyes went huge.

“Oh my god, uhh yes of course. I’ll wait for you at your locker.” He said stuttering a bit and then walked away before I could say anything, nervous I took my stuff and slowly walked up to Eric.

“Hi.” I said nervous and looked at him and then away and over at the windows in the classroom. Eric didn’t say anything as he walked over to the door and closed it and turned down the blinds on the little window that was in the door and then walked over to me.

“You told me you worked.” He said and looked at me. “You lied to me.”

“I didn’t, I do- I do work just not when I'm in school.” I said and let out a little chuckle and bit my lip.

“You think this is funny?” He asked with a serious look on his face, I shook my head.

“No, not at all. Eric I haven't stopped thinking about you since that night. I haven't had a good nights sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about you, but you being my teacher changes everything.” I said and sat down on his desk.

“You knew I was a teacher,” – “yeah but not at my freaking school. You working here means we can't have any relationship besides a student and teacher relationship inside these walls.” I said cutting him of, stood up, walked over to the door and opened it.

“Bye Mr. Kydd, see you next week.” I said quietly, gave Eric a sad smile and walked out of the classroom.

"Are you okay?” Ely asked when I met him by my locker, I shook my head and began opening my locker with my code.

"You promised I would never see him again.” I sighed and placed my history book and notebook in my locker and took my backpack out. “I can't look at him without thinking about that night. I can't have history with him.. I need to transfer to another class, I can't be in the same room as him without wanting to run over to him and kiss him.” I said and looked at my schedule to see who we were having in PE hoping it wasn't Eric or should I say Mr. Kydd.

“Great just great, guess who  we are having in PE, the loving Mr. Kydd.” I sighed and shook my head.

“You know what, let's skip the rest of the day. We can go to the cinema or go out to eat. Let's go to that Chinese place, I've missed their noodles.” Ely said with a soft voice but I quickly shook my head.

“No uh, you don't have to skip with me. I just think I’ll go home anyway if we skipped together. I just wanna be alone to be honest right now.” I said looking at him. “But thank you, I always know I'll have you, you are really the best.” I said and hugged him.

“Are you sure?” He asked concerned, I nodded with a little smile. “Yeah, go and have PE. Sorry we can't have lunch together.” I said and closed my locker. With my backpack on my back I said bye to Ely and began my way home from school.
