Why Star Wars Is Better Than Harry Potter

We may not have a lightning scar or a geeky hero, but we have stuff even better. Why Star Wars is better than Harry Potter. Any Potterheads who might take offense to this, you've been warned.

9. Role Models

We Star Wars characters have good role models that we can look up to...

Luke Skywalker: Teaches us to follow our dream. To see the good in everyone and stay firmly on the light side, even if your father's there. Don't join the dark side just because one of your parents do, and help your friends, no matter what it takes.

Han Solo: Han used to be obsessed with money, but eventually joins the Rebels for its cause. He has an open mind and is good at strategizing, and finally finds the will to try and understand women.

Princess Leia: Teaches us to be strong and that boys can't do everything by themselves. Fight for what you love, and don't let a man who's been hitting on you take control or hog the mission.

Anakin Skywalker: Being selfless will help you in the long run. Anakin flew in the Podrace for Qui-Gon and his friends and it allowed him to become a Jedi. Being reckless doesn't always pay, and saving your son's life is more important than terrorizing the galaxy.

Padme "Naberrie" Amidala: If you're a Queen (or King), saving your people is more important than staying safe. Go for the good in others before the bad. Lay aside your personal needs for the greater good. And just because someone tends to act bratty at times, don't rat him out for it.

Jar Jar Binks: Just because people hate you, your fans are what you should go for. Fight boldly until the end, and learn to appreciate your master.

Lando Calrissian: Just because the Empire has control of your city, don't let it traumatize you for life. Join the light side and fight back against the oppressors who took what you had.

Harry Potter: teaches us to rely on luck and it will get us through anything. Teaches us that rebelling against authority will save you in several cases and to take chances and the Ministry will still let you attend your dream school. And when an 11-foot stranger busts into your home and says you have magical powers, follow him and abandon your family.

Ron Weasley: teaches us that ditching the mission is OK if your girlfriend is forgiving. That immature is OK and to stalk your girlfriend if she wants to spend one night with someone else.

Hermione Granger: Teaches us that being annoying and bringing down your friends is OK if you know how to fight trolls. Teaches that if your love leaves you, bash him with your book when he returns.

And there really aren't that many role models in Harry Potter that need my energy right now.
