Why Star Wars Is Better Than Harry Potter

We may not have a lightning scar or a geeky hero, but we have stuff even better. Why Star Wars is better than Harry Potter. Any Potterheads who might take offense to this, you've been warned.

7. Luck Isn't Everything

Many Potterheads think Harry feeds off luck, and you're all correct.

In I, Harry had Lily's sacrifice to foil Quirrell's chokehold. In II, he had Fawkes and the Sorting Hat to stop the Basalisk, and in III he had Hermione and her Time Turner. In IV he had Sirius's Firebolt, Neville's gillyweed, and Hermione's new spell. In V he had Sirius and Dumbledore's help. In VI he had Dumbledore's stick set on fire, and in VII he had Dobby and the local dragon.

Anakin and Luke don't rely on luck so heavily.

In I Anakin stuck by Qui-Gon, took out droids, and let the Force guide him. In II no luck guided him across the droid factory and Tusken camp. In III he took a action against the buzz droids and earned his way toward Dooku's death. In IV Luke strategized his way across the Death Star and flew an X-wing to a trench to turn a superweapon to scrap metal. In V he fought valiantly, no luck guiding him across AT-ATs and Sith Lords. And in VI, who do you think worked for a year to save Han Solo and stop Darth Vader's evil?
