Mickey swept her up in his arms and they kissed and hugged each other for what seemed like an eternity. Pieter honked the horn and Mickey let her go and they walked towards the truck.

“This is my baby brother Mickey.

“Hi Pieter; Britta never stops talking about you.’

Likewise, so how do you like our country?

It’s amazingly beautiful and so clean; the people of England could take a leaf out your book when it comes to litter.

“We are taught from a very early age to respect our country.

“So are we but there are certain fractions who do not; it makes the place look a mess.

England has some of the best coastline and countryside in the world but like everything it is the minority who spoil it for the majority.

Very True said Pieter as he turned left through the town then onto the flat land which had a dyke on either side.

Do you have a windmill attached to your house?

“Yes why?

“I like windmills, there is a ruin of an old flower mill near the coast road that I used to play in when I was a boy.

I always thought that it resembled an old turret of a castle and could be made into a nice house to live in.

Mickey broke into song sing “A Mouse Lived in a Windmill, made famous by Ronnie Hilton and they all joined in.’

Pieter had a good singing voice and he played guitar too when they were at home together.

“Here we are said Pieter as he pulled into driveway.

“This is a lot bigger than I was expecting; how long have you owned it.

Papa restored the windmill some twenty five years ago now, it is a fully workable flour mill, and we grow our own wheat here as you see we have about 30 acres of land that goes with farm.’ I will show you around later if you like.’

“Yes I would like that.’

They all got of the truck and Greta and Arjan came and greeted them.

“Come said Greta in broken English as Mickey carried his case and Britta his gifts.

“You take coffee ja said Greta,’

“Yes please Greta said Mickey as they went through into the living room. Mickey removed his training shoes before he entered as Britta had told him that they never wore shoes in the house that was made virtually out of oak.
