When Mickey was done he packed a bag with his training gear and clean clothes.

He knocked on the flat upstairs Dani answered.

“I’ve got to go back to London I’m taking the train tonight.’

“Can I come with you?

“No Mickey retorted loudly, then his voice softened; look I have to go away for a while.

“Why Mickey; is it me have I done something wrong?

“No Britta, it’s not you; you know how I feel about you but I want you to go back to Amsterdam for a couple of months.’

 “What about my work here?

“Forget about that; it isn’t safe here for either of you; you must take the ferry tomorrow understand?

“Yes Mickey, we will.’

“Where’s Dani?

“She’s here why?

“Do not tell Nigel Worthington about where you are going Dani that man is dangerous; he had Jeff beaten so badly he’s in hospital with a broken jaw and several ribs.

“My God; is he alright?

“Yes he will live; you must get away from Worthington he is a drug dealer Dani and he will screw up your life. Mickey put his hand into his jacket then pulled out his wallet he gave Dani £100 pounds and told her to get tickets back to Amsterdam in the morning; just be on that ferry when she sails at five for the crossing; do you hear me. It is not safe here; Worthington is looking for me he won’t stop so I have to get away.

“Will we see you again Mickey?

“Yes but not for a while; I will call you from London Britta.’

“Do not answer that phone or open the door to anyone, understand?’

“Yes; lease take care won’t you.’

Mickey kissed Britta then turned and headed down the stairs.

He got into his car and headed to Newcastle Central Station.

Once there he parked outside the car in a back lane near the station then ran into the ticket office and bought a ticket. He walked casually over the foot bridge to platform four and got into a first class compartment. He waited some fifteen minutes before the train finally pulled away.
