Secret's I'll Never Tell

"I know what your doing." Draco said, smirking at me.

"And what is that?" I answered, holding back a smirk.

"Admit it Nora. You want me." Draco said.

"Too bad that you might be right."

10. Chapter 9-Leave me alone

  Hermione and I stepped onto the top step of the staircase, along with all the first years. We were just silently looking around until we heard someone speak up.
  "So it's true then, what they were saying on the train. Harry Potter and Nora Harries have come to Hogwarts." Draco says, looking back and forth at Harry and I. Harry and I exchanged glances, totally confused.
"This is Crabbe, and Goyle and I'm Malfoy... Draco Malfoy." Ron snickered at his name. Draco looked over disgusted.
"Think my names funny, do you? No need to ask yours. Red hair, hand me down robe? You must be a Weasley." He spat in disgust. He turned back to Harry. "You'll soon find that some wizard in families are better than others, Potter. Don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort, Harries already did. But I can help you there." Draco extends his hand, but Harry doesn't move to shake it.
  "I think I can tell who the wrong sort are myself, thanks." Harry turns towards me, and nodded. I smiled at him, and gave him to thumbs up. He smiled back. Draco is glaring daggers into Harry's back. Right then, McGonagall returns and smakes Malfoy on the shoulder with some paper. He slowly retreats with one last glare.
  "We're ready for you now." McGonagall says, leading all of us into the Great Hall, where there are four long tables that stretch all the way to the other side of the room. In the front of the room, there's a long table with older people sitting in one line at a table, loading food on their plate's, but not eating quite yet. Some kids turned to look at us, while others continued there conversations. Hermione said something about the ceiling, but I wasn't really listening. I was to busy looking around at everybody. We started walking forward again, and stopped in front of a chair with a talking hat sitting on top. He started to sing a song.

Oh you may not think I'm pretty,
But don't judge on what you see,
I'll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.

You can keep your bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.

There's nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can't see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be.

You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart;

You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true
And unafraid of toil;

Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
if you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;

Or perhaps in Slytherin
You'll make your real friends,
Those cunning folks use any means
To achieve their ends.

So put me on! Don't be afraid!
And don't get in a flap!
You're in safe hands (though I have none)
For I'm a Thinking Cap!

  Once the song was over, Professor McGonagall started calling out names, until she got to Hermione. I wasn't  really listening, but I did hear the hat yell Gryffindor. Ron was up next, obviously getting into Gryffindor with his brothers, then Harry. Harry took longer then the others, which really confused me. So I started listening instead of thinking about my favorite boy bands. I saw Harry's mouth move, but he wasn't loud enough for me to hear. Then the hat started talking.
  "Not Slytherin, eh? Are you sure? You could be great, you know. Its all here in your head. And Slytherin will help you on your way to greatness! There's no doubt about that! No? Well, if youre sure...better be...GRYFFINDOR!!"  The hat said, and people started to cheer loudly while Harry stumbles off to the Gryffindor table. And the next thing I know, my name is called. All I could think about is getting into Gryffindor, not Slytherin so I wouldn't have to be with the little butt face, Malfoy. I know right? Butt face is such a mean name, right? Note the sarcasm. I walked up the stairs to the chair, and quickly sat down. People were staring at me like they were staring at Harry. I got really confused but I stayed silent as the hat started to talk.
  "Oh....Hmm.....tricky. Very tricky. So...what's the word...interesting. So very smart, but so very brave. Hmm....GRYFFINDOR!" Th ehat yelled, and I smiled. As I walked over to the Gryffindor table, I saw George stand up, and he walked over to hug me. I swear he gives the best hugs EVER. I sat down next to Hermione and across from Harry and Ron, with George on my other side. Ron was about to talk before McGonagall hit a glass cup with a spoon.
  "Your attention, please." She spoke looking at all of us. Dumbledore stood up from his huge chair and smiled.
  "Let the feast...begin!" He said, and snapped his fingers. All of a sudden was a ton of food on our table. The first thing I saw was a gigantic bowl of mashed potatoes. I grabbed it, and scooped out half the bowl onto my plate. Everybody looked at me astonished.
  "What? I can't eat mashed potatoes?" I said.
  "That's even more then I eat!" Ron exclaimed, looking at his pretty much full plate. I smirked and shrugged, and dug in. When I was done, I tried some pecan pie, and about threw up.
  "This is gross." I said, scrubbing my tongue with my napkin, and gulped down some water. I grabbed some good old chocolate and started to eat that instead of the pie. Then everybody started talking at once about how good the pie is and I just plugged my ears and ate my chocolate. Eventually, and somehow, we got to the Gryffindor dormitory and all I knew was that the code is Caput Draconis. I walked in and ran up the stairs to the girls dormitory, with Hermione trailing behind me. I found mine, and I was so lucky because I only had to share a dorm with Hermione and no one else, while everyone else has to share a dorm with like five people. We smiled at each other and walked in, to find our bags already on our beds. We both walked to our beds and opened up our cases, quickly putting everything away. The nice thing about the both of us is we are both clean. She is much more of a clean freak than me, but I'm not dirty. I put on some music and Hermione smiled at me because she knew the songs that were playing from my phone. I have a battery charger and everything, but I don't know how I will survive without my Wi-Fi, but we'll see. I decided to go look around Hogwarts. Hermione disagreed, saying we'll get in trouble but I don't care. It's not like I'm going to get beat anymore. She sighed and we got in our pj's, she with my amazing one direction pajamas. I rolled my eyes and we ran out of our dorm, and out the house door. We walked at a slow pace, just looking at the paintings and such. I was looking at one painting while I was walking, and I guess the other person wasn't paying attention either, and we bumped into each other.
"Oh...Sorry." I said looking at the person I just bumped into. And lucky me, guess who it is? Malfoy.
 "Shut up, Harries."I rolled my eyes, and tried to keep walking, but two tall chubby guys surrounded Hermione and I.

"Where do you think your going?" Malfoy said, pressing us against the wall.
  "Anywhere but here." Hermione said, trying to squeeze out.
  "Leave me alone, Malfoy." I said. No luck trying to squeeze out. Just then, Malfoy punched me in the stomach. I groaned but punched him back, just as Mione did, and Malfoy fell to the ground Crabbe and Goyle tried to punch us but we ducked and ran as fast as we could. We ran and ran until we reached our dorm.
  "Captus draconis." I said, and we stepped through the door. We ran up to our dorm, went in, and collapsed on our beds.
  "That was fun." Hermione said, smiling. I smiled back, and we quickly fell asleep.
