Secret's I'll Never Tell

"I know what your doing." Draco said, smirking at me.

"And what is that?" I answered, holding back a smirk.

"Admit it Nora. You want me." Draco said.

"Too bad that you might be right."

29. Chapter 27-Dress Shopping

Draco p.o.v.

I sat in potions next to my favorite girl, half listening to Snape droning on about some sort of potion, half staring at Nora. As I stared at her, I thought about how beautiful she looked, even with no make up.     She had a kind of understated beauty, perhaps it was because she was so disarmingly unaware of her prettiness. Her olive skin was completely flawless. I doubt she used face masks or expensive products. She was all about simplicity, making things easy, helping those around her to relax and be happy with what they have. Perhaps that is why her skin glowed so, it was her inner beauty that lit her eyes and softened her features. When she smiled and laughed you couldn't help but smile along too, even if it was just on the inside. To be in her company was to feel that you too were someone, that you had been warmed in summer rays regardless of the season.     Suddenly, her dark brown eyes looked over at me, before her bright red candy lips widened into a sweet smile. I smiled back, grabbing her soft hands under the table, squeezing her hand. She squeezed back and looked back at her notes.      We held hands for the rest of class. The whole day was a blur besides that one moment.      Nora p.o.v.      At lunch, I sat next to Hermione who was staring and her book fondly. I tapped her shoulder, wanting to get her attention. She looked at me, for once not annoyed that I interrupted her reading.      "So have you got a date yet?" I asked Mione. She blushed a light pink color and smiled. I smirked.     "OH HERMIONE'S GOT A DATE HERMI-" I was cut short by Hermione putting her hand over my mouth to cover the sound. Ginny, who sat next to us, laughed. Mione removed her hand from my mouth after moment, knowing I wouldn't start again.     "So who is it?" I asked.        "I'm not telling you," she replied. "I think I'll keep it for a surprise until the day of the Yule Ball." I groaned at her reply. Well two can play at that game.      "Do you have a date yet?" Hermione asked curiously.     "I do." She giggled a bit and smiled.      "OOO tell me!" Hermione squealed.      "Let's keep it a surprise." I mimicked. She rolled her eyes, still smiling. Ginny was watching our conversation intently, and I wondered if any of the older kids had asked her to the Yule Ball because I knew a few who fancied her.     "Ginny has anyone asked you?" Ginny blushed a bit and nodded.     "But before you ask I'm not telling. I think we should all keep it a secret until the day of."      "Ok. Oh yeah! Do you girls want to come dress shopping with me tomorrow at Hogsmeade?" I asked the girls. Ginny nodded excitedly while Hermione shook her head. Ginny and I both looked at Hermione for an explanation.     "My parents have already sent a dress. But, I can tag along to give opinions." We squealed and nodded.       "Alright. See you then! I gotta go at make sure I have enough money and I'm gonna go and finish up some homework too. Bye!" I stood up and walked out of the Great Hall to my dorm to work on homework. As I was finishing up my Charms essay, an owl arrived with a letter addressed to me. I stared at it confused. The owl dropped the letter on the floor. I stood up from my four post bed to retrieve it.     In neat handwriting it wrote:     Dear beautiful,     I'm so lucky to have you.       Love, yours truly.      I smiled at the short and sweet letter, before setting it under my pillow. I finished my essay, and grabbed a fresh parchment, where I wrote:   Dear my one and only,     Same to you. ;)     Love, me.      I handed the letter to the owl. It wasn't the greatest letter but I haven't ever been that good at expressing feelings. About feelings, I haven't been cutting lately, and all my old scars have faded away to nothing. Luckily, there are zero marks on my arms. I'm pretty happy.      I finished up homework, and by then it was 11 pm. I decided to go to bed to get a good sleep.      My night was a dreamless night, but I had no problem with that. It was perfect.    -----     I hurriedly threw on a simple outfit consisting of black leggings, a maroon shirt with a army green jacket. I added a white infinity scarf and some brown converse to finish the look, before running out the door, all the way down to the entrance, where I saw my friends waiting for me.      I walked over to them, panting.      "Guys I'm so sorry. I woke up late and yeah that's my excuse." I explained.      "It's fine. We just have to hurry so all the good dresses won't be gone." Hermione said. On the way there, we were speed walking, actually passing some people, and guessing who the date for the other person was. We made no success in guessing though. I was kind of nervous though because I didn't know how my friends would react.      We walked into a beautiful store where we were blown away by all the options and everything they had to offer. Girls were already in here looking at dresses, but luckily it wasn't crowded. I saw my ex best friend hanging out with Pansy and I wanted to puke. Scarlet had become a b and started hanging out with Parkinson. She held my secrets and betrayed me just like that. Yet, Fred was still into her and they were dating now. It made me so angry and sad. All of it.     I put my focus back into shopping. I pulled out a short white dress, a short dark blue dress, and a long blue dress. Hermione helped pick them out, and while Ginny and I went to change, Hermione picked up a dress for both of us that she thought were cute.     Every time we tried a new dress, they're was always something missing. Ginny found her perfect dress after about four dresses, meanwhile, I was on my eighth dress and I still hadn't found something I liked that much. I went back out to look, before spotting the perfect dress. I sprinting over to grab it, and ran back to my dressing room.     It was a long and elegant dress which was red and had some diamonds in some places. It was a one arm dress, and it was just perfect. The girls ooed and ahhed at it. I smiled, very happy. I looked at the price tag but my smile faltered. I was one galleon short. I told the girls and Hermione said she didn't have money, and Ginny was saving the money for butter beers later.     The owner of the store came over and looked at us. She gasped at me.     "My my you look gorgeous! You must get this dress!" She said.     I smiled at her but it was weak.     "I wish I could, but I'm a galleon too short." I said sadly. She lightly slapped my shoulder and laughed.     "Don't worry about it. It's only one galleon. I would never forgive myself if you didn't get that dress." I smiled at her gratefully.      "Really?" Excitement was clear in my features.     "Really. Money is never going to have the same worth as happiness will ever have darling." After those wise words, she walked away. I smiled and I felt very gratefully for the kindness of this woman.      Ginny and I bought our dresses and we went and got our butter beers. I sipped the warm drink and my insides were warmed by the drink.      We stayed there for about two hours and discussed all the girliest things.      Hermione and Ginny hadn't findings homework, so we headed back to the Hogwarts.       I smiled at a joke Ginny told as we were walking, before out of nowhere a snowball hit me in the head.      I turned to see who it was. I handed my dress to Ginny and Hermione and they said they'd put it away and they didn't want to waste their time.     "Oh it's on."     A/N: HELLO AND IM SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING!!! My summers been suupperrr busy but I'm trying to squeeze in some stuff. Thanks for everyone that's been loyal! I appreciate it! Love you! -Lenora
