Temptation of the Bad Boy

"You're mine."

"You can't just own me!"

"Oh princess, you don't have a choice."
Winter didn't exactly have the "Rich" and "Perfect" life everyone thought she did. Her mom and dad passed away when she was young, her twin brother ran off somewhere with his girlfriend and to top it all off, her step dad is an abusive drinker. Then, she met an emerald green eyed boy who tried to change her world around, and it worked. But it wasn't him who changed it, it was an unknown number,

Unknown number:
Hello beautiful, I love how you don't have to even try to look beautiful and you look better than any girl I've ever met.

She thought she knew who the bad guy was, and made all the wrong decisions.

13. |Chapter 13||

I miss skating. I miss gliding though the slick surface and carving faint lines with my skates, I miss the thrill. Memories of my dad taking me here years ago flooded through my head and I shook my head. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts.

We walked up to the counter,  an elderly man, about in his maybe late 50's, walked up to the counter with a grin. "Welcome to the Ice Dome, What size ice shoes can I get ya'?" James smiled, "Uh size 14 for me and uh.." He looked down at my feet, "Size 7?"

"And a half." I giggled, and the guy went off into the back to retrieve our shoes. I looked around and immediately locked eyes with a hamburger that was in someone's hand, the girl who was about to take a bite out of the precious hunk of meat saw me looking at it. She slowly pointed towards the stand of food that read 'BUFFET' in big letter at the top. I grinned and started walking towards it, "Winter, where are y-"

He stopped talking when he notices where I was walking to. That's right, I have a mission and no one can stop me.

The man behind the counter handed James's the skates, "Have a good skate!" James waved him off and began to follow me. But by the time he got there, I already ordered what I wanted. I turned around and bumped into James, making me drop my hamburger. "I am so sorry!" I growled and slowly looked up at him, he looked scared, heck even the guy that gave me the hamburger looked scared enough to give me a free one.

I slowly picked up the hamburger and looked up at James, his eyes got wider, "Please don't do something you'll regret later.." I grinned, "If I want to do it, then why would I regret it?" Before he could reply, I pulled him close to my face and he started to close his eyes.

I shoved the hamburger into his pocket.

He slowly leaned back, his eyes still closed. "The hamburger is in my pocket isn't it?" I giggled and before he could open his eyes, I took the ice shoes that he set on the floor and ran off to the bench

I took off my shoes and slipped on the skates, one knot, two knot, three kno-

A hamburger was shoved into my face, I looked up to see a grinning James. "I bought us a hamburger," I skeptically looked at it as he waved it in my face, "Oh c'monnnnn, I didn't poison it!" He grumbled. I took it out of his hand and took a bite, slowly. Alright, pickles, cheese, mayo anddddd ketchup? Hmm, good enough. As I stood up, and bit into my hamburger, I almost slipped.

James caught me by my waist and stood me back up. Now I know it's been like 8 or 9 years since I've been here but I couldn't of forgotten everything.. "Here," I looked over at him and he was holding out his hand, "Hold my hand for guidance." I looked down at my hand, Phone in my right, Hamburger in my left. Was it worth it?

I shoved the rest of my hamburger into my mouth and slipped my hand into his, Yes, yes it was. For a minute, he just stood there, so I dragged him to the entrance, ready to start gliding.

When I was finally a step away from the side lines, I let go of James's hand and reached a trembling hand out for the guard rails that were hooked to the wall to help beginners learn how to skate. I guess I am a beginner and I, a grown girl, probably look stupid next to the other many little kids holding onto the rail as well but I don't care. I gripped the railing tightly, my knuckles beginning to turn white.

I stepped a foot out, slowly putting pressure down on the ice and started to move forward, my hand still on the rail. I looked up and started to slowly let go of the railing, keeping my eye on one spot of the ice. As I let go, I somehow managed not to fall! I looked up to James beaming at me. With one tug, he was right beside me, keeping a hand on  my waist.

I gapped at his movements that looked as almost it was effortless to him, as if he's done it a million times before. I looked up at him and watched him skate effortlessly, which was my first mistake. I stopped paying attention to my skating and slipped over my foot, before I hit the ice I gripped onto his bicep to keep myself from falling. An arm circled around my waist and brought be back to my feet.

My face flushed a deep red, both of his hands were now on my waist, as he never let go but we kept on skating. He leaned forward and this breath tickled my neck, "Do you trust me?" Before I could think , "Not with my hamburger." He tilted his head back and laughed, "that's not what I meant, Do you trust me?" I looked up at him questioningly, "With what?"

"That's where the trust comes in, babe."

The grip on my hips tightened and he started going faster, oh no. (A/N: hahahahah sorry carry on) I knew this all to well, he was going to try a stunt with me. I felt my feet leaving the safety of the ice and I immediately knew I could trust him.

My stomach dropped as his hands disappeared from my waist for a nanosecond before they came back and my feet came in contact with the ice. He dipped me for the finale, never losing eye contact with me. I didn't even notice the crowd that was surrounding us until claps were heard and he brought me back up.

The rest of the night, we skated until we got tired, luckily no more lifting was involved and i stayed in contact with the ground.

Not including when I fell a few more times.

"Thank you for tonight." I smiled at him."No problem, just thought you needed some time away from your dad, Ya know?"

"Yeah but you wouldn't let me pay! That's not fair. Anyways, I haven't seen my dad since yesterday. He's probably out drinking." I signed, my typical stepdad.

"I understand. But if he's not here tomorrow, tell me and we will go look for him, okay?" that's one thing I do like about James, he knows that even though me and my step dad have the worst relationship, he knows no matter what me and him grew up together and I still love him.

"Okay." I smiled.

I leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek, "Goodnight." I mumbled, stepping out of the car.

"Goodnight princess." As I made my way to the porch I noticed he didn't leave yet. I turned around and noticed he was just staring at the steering wheel. I called out his name and he looked up, and waved. Once he backed out of the driveway and I made sure he made it out safe, I made my way inside.

"Dad?" I yelled, hopefully he's not home, I'd be dead.

No response, but there was something worse then my dad standing in the kitchen entrance.

"Isn't it past your bed time?"

I snorted, "I'm like four days past my bed time." He rolled his eyes and turned back into the kitchen, "I'll be up in a few." I growled, "I don't care when you'll be up, you can sleep on the couch for all I care." I snapped. I know, I was being rude but can you blame me?

I made my way upstairs and changed into some booty shorts and crawled into my bed. I heard my phone vibrate inside my pants pocket.

It's to far.. Grr. The things I do for Riley.I got up and grabbed my phone out of my jeans pocket from the dirty bin and threw them back in.

Not Riley.

"Unknown number" flashed on the screen.

Unknown number:

My name is not important. All you need to know is that you're mine, darling.

I furrowed my eyebrows, this is stupid.

I'm not anyone's. Please leave me alone.

I signed and put my phone on my night stand. Whosever pranking me, is getting way out of hand. I don't need to think about that, I had a good day and no one can ruin that. Not even some random dude. I thought back to my day with James, it was a really good date, even though he ruined my good hamburger.. I think I may like him.. may..

Most girls say they want a fairytale, but that's not what I want. I want someone who will make fun of me and laugh at my jokes if though they're stupid.. Someone who will wrestle with me and watch cartoons with me. Yeah, riding off into the sunset would be nice, but playing thumb war with someone sounds much better. Am I right?

Only then did it occur to me that James said he liked me earlier.
