The Outcast

Marnie was never the type of girl who had loads of friends or fit in. She was one of the least known girls in her school. Until him. Until she thought she found love. Love with the schools most well known boy. Luke Hemmings.

(I was writing this on another account but now I'm posting on here :3)

7. The Hallways

A/N: Hello! Before you read this, please note that I am writing this at 2:30am so sorry if it sucks.

Walking through the halls of the school, every girl looked at Marnie with piercing, angry eyes. She didn't understand. Do they know? How did they find out so quick? Will they hate me now? She was feeling her anxiety start to kick in when Justin came up behind her.

"Hey, Mar. Can we talk?"

He looked concerned, and she was worried about what he would say. "Um, sure. What about?"

"Luke. He's bad news. Don't you know that? He's dated just about every girl in this school and viciously dumped them within two weeks."

"Thanks for the heads up, but I don't think its much of your business," she snapped.

"Marnie, I just don't want to see you get hurt. You're my best friend and I just want to protect you."

"Okay. I'm sorry I snapped at you. If he dumps me its my own fault. Don't worry, I wont come crying to you when it happens."

She shifted her feet, "Its bound to. Only three-percent of high school relationships last until college."

"Okay. And if you need someone to talk to about anything, just come to me."

"Okay." They hugged and Marnie continued through the halls. The people were parted against the walls like the red sea. She was getting nervous. She could see the girls faces distorting with disgust because it was her and not them. She could hear them whispering about her being a freak. She was tearing up when she felt someone grab her. They pulled her into the restroom and when she turned, she saw Luke's smirking face.

"Hey," he said.

"Luke, wha--" He grabbed her face and started making out with her. He pulled back and looked at her surprised face.

"Hehe. I love it when I catch you off guard."

Marnie looked up at him then pushed her lips against his. She had to stand on her tip-toes because of the height difference. He deepened the kiss and her heels fell back to the ground. He was blushing and looked surprised.

She mimicked his voice, saying, "I love it when I catch you off guard." she giggled and hugged him. "We better get to class. And you should probably get out of the girls restrooms before you get pepper sprayed."

He kissed her one last time, exploring her mouth with his tongue. "Maybe next time we'll make it to the good part." He winked and she punched his arm softly.

Lets just say, when she walked out of the restrooms, she didn't get too pleasant of comments from everyone around her. She just ignored them. She hadn't been able to ignore people in a long time. Luke was changing her. Helping her. She was becoming more confident. She just walked passed the girls like a secret agent walking away from explosions. She was powerful.
