Alice and Andy.

Teenagers in love, her brothers best friend. Romance blooms even when it is not suposed too.

1. Young and in love.

Totally original. Some of this has happend to me in real life, so I'm drawing insperation from that. I own the storyline.

I had been totally in love with Andy since I was fourteen and he was sixteen, I was seventeen now and he was nineteen, as I matured I thought it was just a school girl crush and that it would go away, but it never did and I realised that I was in love with him.

In love with his stupid silly smile he got when he was listing to his old vinyl records in his garage, or when he was laughing and joking around, the way he sucked on his lip as he thought about something.

The only problem was that he was my brothers best mate, they had known each other since primary school, and he would never allow anything to happen and grow between us, he was that protective of me he even didn't trust me in the same room with Andy by our selves if he could help it.

Part of the reason for that was because he heard mum and myself talking about how I had feelings for Andy, he of course being the protective brother asked me how this could happen and that he would never allow anything to happen between Andy and myself.

I was that hurt by what he said that I ran to my room crying and didn't talk to him for two days.

After what my brother said I tried suppress my feeling for the next three years, and sometimes it got awkward to be in the same room as Andy, my feelings never left me, and it got horrible when Andy started to date other girls, both my brother and mother walked in numerous times to see me crying over him.

My brother would often get a concerned and guilty look on his face, before clenching his hands and walking away, mum would always hold me until my tears dried.

Dad knew something was going on but I had asked mum not to tell him anything as it was embarrassing that I was hopelessly in love with my brothers best mate, and he didn't reproach my feelings at all.

I was walking down the stairs in my pyjama shorts and tank top, my hair in a messy bun, and walked straight into the kitchen kissing mum on the cheek, reaching over the counter to grab a pear, biting into one side.

"Hey honey." Mum smiled at me as she was doing the dishes, I chewed the piece of pear in my mouth, swallowing it, I smiled at her, "So what are you'r plans for today?"

"Probably just gonna read today, maybe clean, dunno." I shrugged my shoulders turning to look out the kitchen window, my eyes focused against the bright morning light.

A gasp fell from my lips as I saw Andy walking up the porch front steps I had maybe twenty seconds before he was in the kitchen.

"Mum! Why didn't you tell me he was coming over." I hissed at he. "Shit, I look like a mess." I scrambled around the kitchen, losing my mind.

"Language, Alice. You look beautiful my dear." Mum said as she rested her hands on my shoulders. I turned around just as the front door opened slightly hiding behind mum. Andy walked through and smiled at mum as she walked towards him, he leaned down and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Hello, dear." Mum was definitely up to something she was never this sweet.

"Hey Cathy." He smiled down at mum, and my insides melted and died. Mum turned towards me and gave me a look that told me to be calm and say hi.

I cleared my throat and plastered a small smile on my face, "H-hey Andy."

I wrung my hands as he tilted his head and looked at me, his eyes roamed my body, pausing at my bare legs, his eyes met mine and there was a look in his eyes I couldn't place. He smiled brightly at me, crossing his arms in front of his muscled but lean chest.

"Hey Alice, how are you."

"I'm uh, I'm good, what about you, what are you doing here?" I stilled my hands and took another bite out of the pear, chewing slowly, I swallowed it and licked my bottom lip tasting the sweetness of the pear.

Andy's eyes followed the movement of my mouth, his mouth dropping slightly open. As mum spoke whatever had just happened between us was over. "Are you here for Justin?"

Mum moved out from in front of Andy and went back to cleaning the dishes.

"Yeah," He cleared his throat."Yeah, that's why I'm here, is Justin in his room?" Andy dropped his arms to rest by his sides, stepping from one foot to another.

"Yep." I said popping the 'P' he nodded his head before saying a quick thanks, he darted up the stairs and then was gone.

A quite sigh was released from my mouth, I bit into the pear again contemplating what just happened, those however many seconds were something unique, something rare. I was turned into a stuttering mess.

As I was thinking about what happened I realised I wanted it to happen again and again and again.

"Alice, Aliiccee." I was startled out of my thinking by mum's voice calling my name.

"Mmm." I hummed as I looked at her. There was a smirk on her beautiful face.

"I saw that Alice." She said.

"W-what, saw what." I stuttered out, feeling my cheeks bloom in colour.

"Mhmm, don't act coy missy, that look between the two of you, there is definitely something there." My mum continued to smirk at me a she started to drain the sink, she dried her hands on the tea towel.

"Don't be stupid mum, it's never going to happen." I muttered to her, throwing the left over pear in the bin, crossing my arms.

"After that, you never know." Mum said as she put the tea towel on the counter.

I rolled my eyes and said "Sure." I started to walk up the stairs to my room. "I'll be in my room."

"Okay honey, chin up." She said. I huffed and continued up the stairs. I turned my head as I walked past Justins room, both boys looked up at me, Andy giving me a half smile half smirk, and Justin looking between the two of us, he got up of the chair and semi closed the door in my face.

"Moron." I muttered, I entered my room closed the door, turned on the radio, before lying down on the bed, closing my eyes. I let out a soft sigh, feeling my self drifting off.
