11. Anakin Returns

As husband and wife clashed, the Supers arrived, led by Anakin Organa. He had sensed the Supers' predicament and rallied them to come. After surveying the villains through a camera, Anakin grinned and gestured for the others to follow. This is working even better than I hoped. All the villains minus Sarah are right there; we'll kill them all.

The Supers followed him to a ledge. There, he took off his cloak and leaped down, landing lightly behind the foe. "Sup?"

The villains turned and drew their weapons, minus the cuckoo clock commander. Stick Boy signaled, and four clocks drew their swords and stepped forward. Anakin ducked and ignited his lightsaber. He feinted, to keep their attention on his weapon. And then, he used the Force to grab one of the swords, and cocked it at the clocks advancing on him.

Anakin began to toy with them at first, clashing slowly before coming in hard. The clocks continued to swing, but found no opening in Anakin's slow yet controlled defenses.

And then, he hurled his stolen sword at two struts holding up a slab of durasteel. The struts broke, and it fell from the ceiling. The tactic worked even better than he'd hoped. Three of the guards were crushed outright; the fourth was partially pinned, trying to reach his sword. Anakin used the Force to slam him into the ceiling. Then, deciding to use his own weapon, Anakin threw aside the sword.

"Seize them!" the cuckoo clock commander shouted.

The cuckoo clocks cocked their weapons and opened fire. Strattogale retaliated and cut through several clocks. Meanwhile, Anakin brought up his lightsaber, which singed one on its way to cut through another. Blasto opened fire, taking out several more. Lloyd took several down with his fist as the villains watched in horror. Igniting his lightsaber, Jay cut down the last few cuckoo clocks.

"Is that the last of them?" Anakin asked.

"Yes!" Strattogale called back. Everyone headed to the door. However, upon noticing him a humanoid named Nacraton disarmed Blasto. He was about to kill him when Blasto seized up the gun of a dismembered cuckoo clock. He opened fire, but Nacraton deflected the attack with his bullet-resistant staff. He knocked one back at Blasto, crushing his gun and disarming him.

"Let's go!" Strattogale shouted.

Blasto was more than happy to comply. Dodging several swipes, he kicked Nacraton to the ground and followed the others.

Meanwhile, Anakin used the Force to throw Stick Boy across the adjoining hallway. He was going to leave him there, cut off from the Supers, but then realized he would go for help. Not wishing to take any chances, Anakin rushed after him. When he opened the door, he was shocked to see the adjacent hall opened into a landing platform. He drew the handle of his lightsaber.

Stick Boy immediately got up and unleashed a barrage of lightning at Anakin. The Jedi utilized tutatuminis and effortlessly caught the lightning. As a show of his mastery, Anakin absorbed the bolt completely, with no need for deflection, showing Stick Boy the clear futility of this assault. Stick Boy stopped firing.

On that note, Anakin ignited his lightsaber. Stick Boy drew his sword and brought it down, soon to be met by Anakin's own blade.

After cutting down another stream of clocks, Strattogale called to the others. She opened the door, only to find the cuckoo clock commander. All the Supers rushed ahead, but Strattogale stayed to face him. "Your move," she said.

"Seriously?" the commander replied. Deciding to challenge Strattogale himself, the commander threw back his cloak. Then he split his arms along their length into four separate appendages. A fifth arm ejected from his tocker.

What does he think he's doing? Strattogale wondered, and then the cuckoo clock commander drew five swords. He then spun them rapidly in a buzzsaw motion and advanced on Strattogale. Strattogale slowly retreated before the clock before thrusting her sword into the swirling blades, engaging the commander in a spectacular display of swordsmanship.

The cuckoo clock commander unleashed a flurry of unpredictable attacks and blows, ramping up the attack until he was demonstrating over 20 blows per second. It was almost like fighting five people at once. Strattogale's sword blurred as she parried all his blows, but she knew she couldn't keep this up for long. Time for a different approach. Strattogale's sword swirled past his guard and sliced the clock's tocker arm.

Staring in surprise at his smoking stump, the cuckoo clock commander lunged in another attack. After another brief bout of fencing, another of the commander's sabers, still clutched in his metal hand, bounced on the deck. He lunged forward and locked all three blades with Strattogale.

Fighting along the catwalks and corridors within the mining facility, the two Supers entered the small antechamber outside the court. Here, Macroburst let his guard down for just a moment, allowing Sarah to knock him over. Before he could get back up, Sarah clamped down on the hero's throat with one hand while keeping hold of Macroburst's sword hand with the other. She began bending him back, simultaneously throttling him and forcing Macroburst's sword closer to his face. Macroburst narrowly managed to kick Sarah off of her, though Sarah quickly retaliated in kind, disarming Macroburst. Sarah charged again, though Macroburst responded by sidestepping and kicking Sarah in the chest. Sarah fell over and landed heavily on her back, and Macroburst quickly grabbed his sword and moved to finish his prone enemy, though Sarah managed to retrieve her own weapon and defend herself.

Within the adjacent control room, their duel degenerated into a brawl.

"I see we are the only ones left."

Jay Organa and Snappa stood in the now empty conference room. Jay began to circle Snappa as the antagonist attempted to blast Jay with a bolt of lightning, demanding the ninja's surrender. Jay grounded the blast with his telekinesis. "I don't think so," he said calmly.

Drawing his sword and angling the blade into a guard position, Snappa awaited Jay. Jay promptly charged at Snappa and attacked, but Snappa quickly deflected Jay's initial attack and subsequent jab. After a quick flurry of bladework, Jay slashed at Snappa's legs. Snappa overleapt the attack and flourished his blade to drive Jay back as he landed. As Jay fell back, Snappa said, "Jay, you disappoint me. I was expecting a challenge."

He's trying to distract me! Grimly, Jay attacked again, attempting to regain the offensive. However, he was forced into retreat by Snappa's elegant bladework. Snappa quickly seized the offensive, the precision bladework of his self-made style wearing away at Jay's Form V defense. Despite the energy efficiency of Jay's defense, Snappa's precision was so great that most of Jay's defensive slashes missed Snappa's blade entirely, forcing him to awkwardly scramble to fend off Snappa's attacks and quickly tiring him. Snappa began to drive him back.
