Summer Loving

Fox and her friends, Cara and Laura are having the time of their lives in Quebec at Fox's parents' cottage. But when five boys arrive at their doorstep their whole summer turns upside down... Niall likes Fox, Harry likes Fox, betrayals and heartbreak lies before everyone.

7. First Date

Hello! Sorry I haven't updated in a REALLY long time but the app that I use stopped working and wouldn't let me log in :( so here is a new chapter for you guys! And thanks for all the lovely comments :)

Cara's POV:

"So um, what do you want to do?" I asked.

"A walk sounded lovely, how about that?" He said.

"Sure!" I replied as we each put on our coats and boots. I am so nervous, what if I say something stupid, and he hates me? Oh no, then the whole plan would be ruined for Fox and Niall, and, ruin my chances with Harry!

Thoughts of the worst possible scenarios whirled around in my head, till Harry broke my train of thought;

"Are you alright Cara?" He asked, concerned.

I flinched a little and said, "Oh! Yeah, yeah I am."

Then I realized I was still frowning and smiled up at him (he was probably like half a foot taller than me) and he smiled down at me.

"Off we go then!" I said cheerfully, trying to forget all of those awful thoughts, ugh, I really hope this goes well...

Harry's POV

I stared at Cara. She was frowning and cringing and I didn't have a clue in the world why.

"Are you alright Cara?" I asked, concerned.

She flicked out of her dazed state, and replied with, "Oh! Yeah, yeah I am." Then she smiled. Her smile was beautiful, almost as beautiful as Fox's.... Oh stop it Harry!!! She likes Niall. Not me. And I'm over it! Sorta...

"Off we go then!" Cara said, leading me out of the cottage, and outside. She lead me to a narrow path through the woods and asked if this was alright.

"Yeah, it's great!" I said.

"Perfect. This path leads to my favourite spot ever. I loved this place when I was little... Fox and I would go here and play fairy princesses, or sometimes pirates, we didn't allow any parents here because we used to think that if adults went here, it would all become cursed. We were crazy, I know.... Did you have a favourite place, back in Holmes Chapel?"

I pondered on that for a second then answered, "Yes, yes I did. There was a stream, behind my house, and I would follow that stream to the end where there was a pond. The water was frigid, I would never swim in it, but my friends and I would dare each other to go in for a certain amount of time. But it was special because I got my first kiss there, against a tree, it was."

She giggled, "a tree?"

"Yes, a tree... I don't remember her name though... I think it might have been, Amy...or was it... Emily?"

"You don't remember the name of your first kiss?" She said, incredulously.

I chuckled, "No, of course I do! Her name was Katherine. I was rather uncomfortable though, the bark was hard."

"Oh! She was the one on you?"

"Yes. She kissed me, not the other way around, but it was good."

She laughed, I do g know why though, it wasn't even that funny!

"We're here!" Cara exclaimed as she danced around the clearing, leaves whirling around her feet like a mini tornado. Then she stopped, mid twirl, and looked at me expectantly, like I was supposed to do something. I raised an inquisitive eyebrows at her then she said, "Oh come on Harry! I don't bite!" Which made me chuckle, as I walked over to her.

For the rest of the date, we danced and had leaf fights, and just plain talked. I would always occasionally throw a nearby leaf at her, to see her reaction. After a while she just got ticked off, and threw herself at me, taking me down to the ground.

"Stop throwing leaves at me!" She yelled in my face, her light auburn hair ticking my nose.

I smiled cheekily, "No."

"Excuse me?" She asked.

"I said, no. I won't stop throwing leaves at you." I replied as I threw another handful of leaves at her. She just stared at me with cold eyes.

"Harold. Edward. Styles. You little butt. I'm going to get you back someday. And you'll regret this."

"Little butt?" I asked.

"I'm sorry is ass a better word? Because I can call you an ass."

"Yes I think it is a better word."

She rolled her eyes and got up, dusted off her jeans, and helped my up off the ground.

"You ass." She said.

"Oh but you love me." I replied making kissed faces.

"Yeah right! Now come on, it's getting late. We gotta go home."

"Fine." I said, sadly. Then I realized I had completely forgotten about Fox on this date. Maybe I was over her? Or maybe I was just distracted... But either was I wasn't killing myself over Fox.

"Um, Cara?" I asked timidly.

"Do you remember you said you never kissed anyone?" I asked.

"Oh don't bring that up!" She said embarassed.

"It's alright..." I said. Then, I crashed my lips onto hers. Once we broke apart, she just walked back in stunned silence.

I think I'm over Fox. Maybe...
