My name is Toby Rodgers.
I have Tourettes, Insomnia and CIPA (congenital insensitivity to pain anhidrosis)
I guess i'm lucky to be alive.
But sometimes the voices in my head make me decide that i'd rather be dead.

11. Toby

The next day droned on and as usual, I didn't find out anything about Tennessee.

Until we had break that is,

"HEY TOBY GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!" Jeff screamed at me from a far. He was standing behind a brown shed with a medium-tall girl, She was skinny with black hair, she wore skinny jeans and a band tee, which I couldn't make out.

As I drew closer I saw she had snake bites, black fingernails, and lots of band bracelets.

The black eyeliner she wore outlined her green eyes, making them look bigger.

She wasn't the thing that startled me though, the thing that did was the fact that Jeff had his hood down and she wasn't running away.

"Toby, meet Brittany." Jeff said.

I waved politely, and she grinned, "I hear you like Tennessee."

I scowl at Jeff, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Toby, Brittany can help you. Can't you babe?"

"Babe?" I asked startled,

"Yeah, Brittany's my girlfriend..." He laughs,

"So, what do you want to know?" She asks suddenly, changing the subject.

I turn silent for a moment, kicking stones on the ground. "I want to know how the hell she knew my name."

Jeff and Brittany look at each other concerned, "I don't know, I mean she has her ways but this...This is definitely new." She replied,

I nod, "I thought so..."

And I truly did, the girl was just so mysterious. She always seemed so distant... Like she was constantly in another world.

"What about the drawings all over her desk?" I ask inquisitively,

"She does that everyday, she's always drawing on it... She's drawn all over the legs of it as well."

Jeff pulls a strange face, "She sounds weird, Toby."

"Shes just so interesting...And I suppose people that seem interesting must have a distinct past..."

Brittany shakes her head. "Nobody knows about her past, Her real name, or her family..."

"Shes an orphan?"

"No people just never see her go home."

I start to piece things together in my head, and one thing is for sure. I'm going to find out who the heck she was, Tomorrow.
